<p>No. The UNC Renaissance Scholars program is for high school sophomores in rural NC counties. I happen to live in one of the most rural and poverty stricken counties in NC, so I can apply. Plus if I stay in the program until my undergrad years, I heard that you can take UNC courses that will transfer if you enroll at UNC. It’s a good deal.</p>

<p>I went to a debate competition today! It was really fun. I placed top 10, but I’m not sure where. My partner and I won three debates, and my con case defeated a team from Thomas Jefferson! It was a wholly satisfying experience.</p>

<p>Today i had an MUN conference (today and yesterday) and I won Best Delegation Award :D</p>
<p>I wish I had those opportunities.</p>
<p>Had a band competition today at my school…my band director decided to perform our exhibition show without even warming up. So we sounded like crap through the fanfare and drill song. But it was enjoyable seeing bands who had energy and great shows!</p>

<p>We were 7th or 8th as well. And our last debate was crap too! The other team spouted spurious facts that ruined the whole debate.</p>
<p>The guy with the purple pants was me… Awkward. Lol I’m kidding; that dude’s outfit was hilarious! I wonder if it gave him an advantage in any of the debates.</p>
<p>Oh god my stomach dropped when you said that… We debated him… I couldn’t take him seriously AT ALL. He was so rude during our first crossfire and I called him out on it… He was so dumb.</p>
