The PLAN was so easy today! I finished every section with at least 5 minutes left. English was like freshman English all over again. Math threw me for a loop when I hit geometry but I reasoned my way through it. Reading was NOT like SAT reading. Science was so easy, even though some info wasn’t given about something and led to confusion by many of my classmates who hadn’t took Bio yet (the sex chromosomes for a male and female). How long does it take to get scores back?

I really want to see my PSAT score now. >.< I hope it isn’t lower than last year’s.

I took PLAN back in October and we just got our scores on Tuesday, but hopefully it doesn’t take as long at your school.

PSAT score: 168 out of a possible 240. :)

Did everyone get their PSAT scores today?

Mine weren’t terrible for a first try. Converted to a 2400-score, it was 2060.

Our school is sporadically calling down students for their PSAT scores. Overall, I’m not too worried.

Unrelated: Are any of you guys in any new EC’s? We just started Scholastic Bowl, and it’s fantastic. Random trivia is my passion.

Woah, you guys got yours already? o____o Lucky.

I just joined science olympiad, finally have an EC yay.

apollo1974- thanks for replying to my post it seems when i post anything on here it gets lost because the thread’s so active!
the CTY program looks good, I looked at it last year and completely forgot about it so thanks!

@anaychi: That’s so strange. I just joined my school’s Academic Team as well! I love it. In a 16-way battle for the top four spots, I tied for second on the team! I’m probably the best at the ‘directed’ rounds (not ‘toss-ups’), because they include a lot of math problem solving, which I excel at. I really need to broaden my knowledge of recent (past 400 years) history and literature, though. Even so, I do very well on the science questions (and sometimes geography). What subject would you consider your specialty? Also, how good are you in comparison to your team? My team had a meet today and went 2-0 against two other schools in my town. It was great!

Our team divides up Junior Varsity and Varsity by grades. Being a Sophomore, I’ve outcompeted others to be the main captain of the JV team, but I’m also the “replacement” for any empty spots needed on Varsity. So far, it seems as if my fort

i got my psat score yesterday. 195 is that good or bad? i didnt study very much since it doesn’t count this year

also… i see cty, went there 3 years lol i heard the neuroscience class was really great. i wouldn’t take it for this summer if you’re going into junior year. there are other more challenging summer programs. cty is great for middle schoolers though.

Oh I see, what programs would you recommend? And about the psat just tack on a zero and you get an SAT score, and 1950 is pretty good for a sophomore if you think about it. This isn’t a prediction of how you’ll do on the real SAT though, because the SAT is twice as long, but 195 on 240 scale is great! I’m still waiting for my scores. I wonder why so many people have gotten them except for people in my area.

Look, I’ve stumbled across a thread for sophomores! Let me jump into this thread as conspicuously as possible.

P-sat scores! Fun stuff…
Got mine today. 208. I felt bad when my classmates asked to see my scores because they take stuff like this so seriously… Analyzing everyone’s scores and comparing it to their own… So proud when they look at their “percentiles” (thinking that percentile is their “grade” on the test).

Anyway. I did better than I thought. Maybe next year when I take it again I can qualify for merit stuff.

There is a new college to be offering dual enrollment classes at my school, so there is a decent chance that more courses will be offered ![]()

…yea, my school doesn’t offer AP classes.
I got a 1950 too, but on a practice SAT. Good luck!

I recently entered an ‘SAT Challenge’ that consisted of taking a previously administered SAT to get the highest score possible. The highest scorer was to be given $100. Anyway, I took it, and being the lazy/busy person that I am, didn’t study much at all. I got a 2120! 680 M (I’m disappointed in this.), 700 W, and 740 CR. I’m really happy with my score, considering I didn’t really prepare. And I got the $100! Now I just have to see what I got on the PSAT…

Amazing Studious! I won $25 for getting the highest score on the state exam for Allied Health Sciences 1 (Anatomy and Physiology) in my class. I got a 99 (which is rare since the course has 21 units that are covered in a semester).

I’m anticipating my December SAT scores. But, I have finals next week and I hope that will hinder me from thinking about them.

Are you going to splurge or put that towards college? :p

I’m putting it toward future SAT studying, of course! Only kidding… I’ll probably get a video game and save the rest for later.

EDIT: By the way, Quacoh, what class are you? 2014?

I was hoping that posting in this thread was a dead giveaway, but yes I am! And although my CC posts may not reflect it, I am fairly serious about schooling and education, after all, I did find this website.
