Not to be racist, but we had a black, female teacher for English. All she did was complain about racism and female rights. Books we read:

Cry, the Beloved Country
Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, an American Slave
Uncle Tom’s Cabin
Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl
Narrative of Sojourner Truth

Yeah, I’m ****ed.

Not offended.

I’d find that annoying after a while too. XD

What colleges do yall like?

If she was actually complaining I see why you would be annoyed. But a lot if kids totally disregard what the teachers are saying about women’s rights and racism. That’s annoying.

Colleges?
I live in nc and I like UNC chapel hill, nc state, Princeton, Harvard, Columbia, elon, and possibly Stanford. My other choices are in the UK(It’s a long way from home)

Yeaahh LSE, Imperial, and Oxford for UK schools.

I just emailed my counselor and there are SO MANY scheduling conflicts… I wish they would make AP classes somewhat compatible with sophomore schedules… But for colleges, my top choice is Vandy, given that I live in Tennessee, and Clemson, Wake Forest, and Duke come in second.

Im Harvard Out thooo

My top top school is Oxford in the UK

So many other Oxford hopefuls :0 didn’t expect it on CC

Both my parents went to New College there so hopefully I can carry on the tradition
however I want to medicine which they have a 10% admit rate and the applicants are very self selective.

@ImSoAmbitious Clemson is like my backup, hahaha

I’m kind of in love with South Carolina and everything about it… Especially Greenville, which is about 30 minutes out of Clemson.

University of California: Los Angeles is the best!!!

I’m Oxford buzzin tho, I got nice test scores so I’ll hit them up, if they allow US interviews.

I’ve been obsessed with Oxford and Cambridge since I was a child. Everything about the universities appeal to me. I’m absolutely infatuated. But its extremely hard for a US citizen to get in, I’m pretty optimistic that I will get there though

Oxford is all about test scores and interview correct, because I am confident that I will have a perfect SAT, a couple 800s on SAT IIs, and 17 APs by the end of Junior Year, with 9 more senior year. And I also interview very well, so I hope I have a shot.

I’m in love with Johns Hopkins. Dream college. But it’s really hard to get into :(

Johns Hopkins is an amazing school

Johns Hopkins isn’t very hard to get into, or, I should say, it is much easier to predict. It does not carry the randomness of other schools such as HYPS. If you seem like a perfect candidate, you still will probably get rejected from HYPS. For JHU, if you have a stats, good ECs, and all the other jazz, you will probably get in. It is not as random, and you can predict with a good amount of accuracy who will and won’t get in.
