I want to be valedictorian too! If everything goes as planned, I will be:)!

OK, just a heads up, you get a lot more homework in sophomore year. I’m just throwing that out there.

First practice PSAT: 190
Second practice PSAT: 191

:/

I used Kaplan btw

Wow same scores as me? Yeah I’m aiming for 700+ in each section but I don’t want to aim to high and fall flat… I completely expect to get 2100+ but I honesty can’t be sure what I get… And yeah I think my PSAT will be in October or November…

@alex, yes I’m hoping I can do it though it’s gonna be me against 700 kids in my class… Hopefully it all works out:)

@teaspoons: 700??? wow. Mine is 320 and we are the largest class in the school

I’m taking my PSAT in 11th grade to act as a prep for the SAT like 2 weeks after. My goals are probs 700+ as well for each section

I’ve just found out I have 4 sets of 4 exams and up to 4 interviews all in November for school applications. It’s going to be a fun month :(

Just found out…my lunch is going to be 3rd period!!! (9:06-9:46) Ugh…

^ How is that lunch?!? Also your days start really early, our first period begins at 8.50 :)

Well… I can see that all of these hard classes means more work than usual… and I haven’t even started AP Statistics Online yet!

@petlover: LOL. The earliest lunch time at my school is 10:36 on regular days and 10:45 on Wednesdays.

Ahh, one thing I love about going back to school is picking a first-day outfit to wear. I enjoyed school today, pretty good for a first day.

^ New school clothes are not fun when you have a uniform. Had to buy some new stuff today, and it was horrible. Firstly I haven’t had to wear that stuff for nearly 6 weeks so I’d gotten used to normal stuff. Secondly I’d had my old uniform for two years, so everything was really worn and soft, the new stuff is nearly thick and stiff. And the skirt is too long as the school has stopped the shop selling it in shorter sizes in an attempt to make us wear them longer. In reality we just learnt how to role them up.

You guys are all so lucky not having to wear uniform :(

@alex yeah it’s a big school an a lot of competition (but half are kids who really don’t care and don’t get a’s even in all standard) …

Just got my schedule fixed , I dropped world history and decided to go with student council. :)

Honors English II
AP Physics B (everyday all year)
Ceramics (a day)/Student Council(b day)
AP Calc AB (a day)/AP Psych

Second semester:
Honors French III
AP Physics B (everyday all year)
Ceramics (a day)/Student Council(b day)
AP Calc AB (a day)/AP Psych

…
So far I’m loving my psych teacher and Calc teacher… My physics teacher is like a little kid and is so adorable :)

Psychology is one of my more interesting classes… I must say that I have learned so much already!

@ UKgirl23 and collegefountain…

My school day is from 7:28 to 2:10. Possible lunch periods are 3rd-8th (there are 9 periods). The things is, my school is pretty big (2,300 students), but we only have one, not very big cafeteria…and no leaving school for lunch…

I love AP Bio so far. I don’t plan on doing anything science-related when I’m older, but I definitely think that it’s an interesting and engaging class. I will always be the humanities type, but this is a science that I really enjoy.

@petlover
My school hours are 7:55 (well, sort of earlier than that) to 2:30, there are four different lunch periods, and my school has 3400-3500 students. Lol what’s your point?

Not trying to sound rude, sorry if it came off that way.

I also have like 3000 kids at my school, I think petlover is just saying its super crowded… We have three lunches during third block (out of four) but two smallish cafeterias, the ‘mall’ (it’s the building that holds the cafeterias , and it has a lot of showcase trophies in the walls and really open (people just sit on the florr in there) … And then a courtyard filled with benches and tables… Lots of space and it can still be crowded.

We have a smaller school but our cafeteria is designed like a nice 1970s diner! It’s actually pretty cool! :D

Our school day goes from 7:50-2:50, and there’s only one (mandatory) lunch period, from 12:15-12:55. But it’s not so bad for us, b/c we only have ~750 people in the entire school, plus we can eat basically anywhere on campus. It’s really nice.

EDIT: sorry to randomly butt into the conversation like this…
