My point is that the school needs 6 lunch periods, some of which are quite early because if only had 3 or 4 it would be too crowded.

Everyone has lunch at the same time at my school, 12.40-1.20, which works fine, we only have around 1500 students though. That’s the normal way for UK schools to do it.
Also our day is 8.40-3.35 which 5 hour periods and a pshe/form session for 30 minutes

6:15-2:15… Lunch is like

EDIT: also, today this kid I know was like ‘she’s the most laid back valedictorian’ , I laughed when he said it… the rumors are going around that I’ll be the next Val… Hopefully it’s true!!

Oh okay, petlover.

@Teaspoons: lol lunch is 25 min at my school D: and 26 min on Wednesdays.

I have a question for those of you that are taking or did take Human Geography: is that class involve a lot of demographics? Because I’m really into demographics and if there’s an AP that involves a lot of demographics, it would be a very interesting class to me.

Im not sure what you mean by demographics… But I remember talking a lot about demographics in… Some of the last few chapters with the layout of cities (and who lived where)… We might have talked about it a little more but it was definitely in the last few chapters

@Teaspoons: yea lol ive got the exact same scores…

our school is probably around 700 kids in my grade. our PSATs are comin up in october thankfully i still have a year for the official test.

which books ru all using to prep??

I saw one the collegeboard had out for PSAT prep I’m pretty sure, so I’ll probably get that …

When do you qualify for national merit? 10th or 11th grade (as in from what year’s PSAT score)? Also what kind of scores get national merit finalist? Just wondering if I have any chance

^^ 11th grade. And it depends by each state.

Oh I see… I’m in NC but I guess I can’t know for sure who all I’m running against. It be so amazing to get it… But I know I’ll probably have to work really hard to beat @alexharper :)

Officer of Spanish Club. Ay ay!

Do you guys have a homecoming dance?

Yep, we do. Mine’s in about a month. I already know who I’m gonna ask out, and I have a friend helping me devise a plan for a creative ask-out.

The student council has been trying to get a homecoming dance but I don’t know if they’ll succeed or if it’ll be available to sophomores. I hope so, the only dance we would get otherwise for all four years is prom.

We don’t. we just have representatives at the homecoming game. I wish we had a dance! I hope I get voted sophomore rep, but I doubt it haha.

@akacesfan: AWWWWWWWWWWW :)

I’m going with a group of friends to homecoming. :)

Everyone started school, and it’s still summer here. I just kinda want to get it started now. :b

Junior prom and prom. That’s about it… But for the homecoming game the stands are packed (most every body goes) we also have a reverse homecoming for basketball (against our biggest rivals) where boys get all the titles.

Hehe, I’m glad I found this thread even though I just wasted time reading through it! I thought I’d randomly post my stats and stuff just to add it to the mix.

Current rank: 3 out of ~900 (This better go up. I have no idea who’s ahead of me since we all SHOULD be at the same level.)
Nonweighed GPA: 4.0
Sophomore Courseload:
AP Biology
AP American History
AP Statistics
Honors Pre-Calculus
Honors English 2
Orchestra

And I’m going to HC with friends. :)

Start after labor day. Did really well first semester freshman year, and sort of sunk the next semester, hoping that doesn’t happen again. Classes I’m taking:
AP US History
Honors English
Pre-Calculus (I really could have done AP Calculus AB if I wanted, but too lazy)
Honors Chemistry
AP Biology
German 3
semester class: Science & Society

Still have a lot of summer work to do! Though I am excited for school.

I start on Tuesday I want school to start, but then again I’m going to miss sleeping in.

My homecoming is pretty fun. There’s a huge pack of people in the middle and everyone tries to squeeze in as much as they can XD Last year I went with friends, but this year I might go with someone.
