What do you guys expect/hope from Santa Claus? (provided you’ve been all good boys and gals so you won’t get coal)

I generally just get smaller presents from santa, always some socks
and some music, books, makeup etc
From my parents, I’m getting this signed book quote poster: [DFTBA Records :: More Than a Person Poster](http://dftba.com/product/13t/More-Than-a-Person-Poster) and another also from John Green. Because they have to be shipped over here they’re quite expensive. I don’t know what else they’ll get me, probably some charms for my bracelet
I don’t need/want anything big this year, so that’s it.

Also, I was very surprised I posted that many times! I’m also active in the prep school and UK bits at the moment :o

Hm… I don’t really think there was much pre-cal on the math portion… I’m not quite sure but I don’t even think there was any algebra II… Well, most everything I saw on my SATs last year was doable with algebra I and geometry, being in calculus only made everything easier since algebra and whatnot is needed for basic Calc.

@CEM, I have a few pairs but they’ve been through alot and I’m due for some new ones… But they are so comfy and good quality!

@Shmluza I’m expecting a new laptop–my mom works with supporting machines around the world and computers have always been a priority… My mom thinks someone can’t function without a computer, every one in my household has at least one laptop haha… But I really don’t like knowing what I’m getting for Christmas… And I don’t like telling my mom what I want either since its less of a surprise when I get whatever.

I also have these among others and like them: http://www.sportsauthority.com/graphics/product_images/pTSA-10765022reg.jpg

I want this

Havent been on here in a while. I want an iPhone for Xmas. Oh and have you guys seen Life of Pi? I really want to see it but no one wants to go with me

I didn’t know there was a film of it! Generally when that happens with films I just find it online…

No, I haven’t, and I don’t even get what it’s about. Yesterday I saw Skyfall, best movie ever! I felt like I was James Bond afterwards haha.

@purpledino, it’s so hard getting friends to see movies with out here unless you’re a senior. Nearest movie theater is like 30 minutes away.

^Wow, really? In California? Where do you live off in some mountain far away from everything else? Or maybe I don’t know that much about California. Even here where I live, movie theater is about 10-15 minutes away, and I live in Rural Southeast. RURAL, and I mean RURAL.

I’m not at all rural, but the closest cinemas are like 40 minutes by bus ir 25 minutes by train I think. There’s about 4 the same distance away though.

Is Skyfall worth seeing? I’ve been too busy the last few weeks, but might go with some friends next weekend :)

@CEM

Also rural usually means you canget away with 85 MPH

In LA, traffic can mean 5 MPH

@kypdurron…well not 85, but better than the city. But you can definitely get away with a lot more

@UKgirl…YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!!! cough cough I mean, sure, it’s a pretty good movie…aw, who am I kiddin’ YES GO SEE IT! Well, of course the British stuff might seem a bit dull, but half the fun is hearing the accents and all. In all seriousness though, it’s a really good movie, lots of action and all, I really recommend it. I mean, come on, the movie poster looks awesome: http://spynga.files.■■■■■■■■■■■■■/2012/10/skyfall-poster1.jpg, so obviously it’s going to be good.

But yeah, definitely worth it.

If I want to intern at a science lab, what should I do?

@kstella email them! Ask if they’re able to take you on

I could never live in a rural area…

^Go on. I’m always interested to here why people don’t like/want to live in rural areas, because it’s usually stereotypes. Just curious here.

I love the country!! But I feel like it would hold me back academically… My school is in a city and one of the most well known schools around (my school and our biggest rival have both been on the top 100 highschool lists I believe), we offer most every AP, French, Spanish, Chinese, German, Japanese, and Arabic up to AP level, we also have any club you could think of and tons of sports (lacrosse, track, cross country, football, basketball, soccer, tennis, baseball softball, wrestling, indoor track, swim and dive, volleyball, golf, etc). There’s tons of opportunities (many local hospitals for volunteering, Bank of America head quarters and Wells Fargo downtown for interning, tons of organizations). Not sure I would get all that in the country but I really do like the open air, the trails and green fields… The small town feel :)

I like it. The city is too close together and I like growing up in the country, though I want to live in DC when I get older haha.

@goodnoodle what’s your competition like (for Val that is)? The girl whose #1 now is pretty socially awkward (even if you try and talk to her she either doesn’t respond or sometimes she’s been known to yell because you’re interrupting her thinking). She’s okay I guess and I’m pretty nice to her , I dont think she realizes I’m her competition… Also don’t know how much she cares about it (she may care more when she’s not #1 but right now she seems unworried/in phased). I’m pretty sure she took geometry, Algebra I and bio all in middle school, skipped freshman English and now is in ap chem, ap physics, ap Calc, ap English III… (It’d be super awkward if she were on this forum…I LIVE IN ARKANSAS.). Anyways… I doubt I’ll be able to catch up but it’ll be great if I do :)

Just curious what any of your competition is for Val/sal… Are they perfect all around or what?
