<p>I’m doing my first public speaking competition in a few weeks. Luckily I’m not the speaker on the team, I’m questioning but I’m still really nervous about it :)</p>
<p>Gosh, I’m awful at public speaking but have gotten better over the years. Surprisingly, with quiz bowl, I don’t get as nervous, probably because I’m sitting with my team members and I don’t have to stand up in front of everybody.</p>
<p>I love public speaking. Being in front of a crowd as the center of attention is such a rush, unless its a crowd of people I really don’t like, like in Spanish class haha.</p>
<p>Oh and merry Christmas, it’s 12 30 for me</p>

<p>haha why yes it is. Can never sleep when it’s Christmas Eve/Christmas. I’m a night owl anyhow, especially on Christmas break, when I can sleep in (not that I’ll be sleeping in today, my little brother will get me up bright and early)</p>
<p>Yes, until about a year ago, we each (we meaning my little brother and I) got a bigger “present from Santa”, then he found out the “Truth” so we don’t do that anymore. My parents, brother, and I (and the dog too ;)) all have stocking with different little things. Then we have the main presents. It’s like a three course meal :)</p>
<p>I don’t have a single gift under the tree this year…</p>
<p>Though to be fair, we open gifts on New Year’s. But we all know what we want and we’re waiting to appropriate the proper funds for our lavish gifts. And then we’ll skip gifts on our Birthdays to make up for that. Nice plan, if you ask me. I’m getting a nice big Nexus 10. :D</p>

<p>I just opened my other presents, and I didn’t get the posters I was hoping for 
I did however, get tickets to go see P!nk in April And I might trade them in for some others. Other than that got a ton of books, music and a Jacksgap tee</p>

<p>Great, got a lot of new books (Killing Kennedy, Flyboys, bio about Thomas Jefferson, etc.), some clothes, that type of thing.</p>
<p>I love public speaking for the same reason as good noodle.
I got books, weights for my bench press, 45$, ankle weights, running clothes, stocking stufers, new balance shoes anda curl bar!!!</p>
<p>^kyp you must either be in really good or really bad shape with all those excersise presents haha. I haven’t gotten my dads presents but from my mom I got clothes, a new phone (lg 840g tracfone haha) and money (ill probably buy a cheap guitar.)</p>
<p>My little brother got an electric guitar, I was so jealous! On the other hand, I’ll probably end up selling the three p!nk tickets I got, which are looking like they’ll go for over £100 each :D</p>
<p>I got a Samsung Galaxy S3, a Starbucks Card, a watch, and a Knicks jersey (which means a lot to me because I am a diehard Knicks fan). Overall, great Christmas!</p>
<p>I have been such a ghost on this thread, so forgive the lateness my next comments:
- Going way back to the whole “I love you” to friends thing, I used to be uncomfortable with it because I came from a really small school that just didn’t do that. Now I’ve noticed I say it to the majority of my friends. Then again, my school is really supportive about pretty much everything, considering about half the school wants to go into the rough career of performance…
- I’m not proud of it, but I got a 177 on the PSAT. My math score is atrocious…I really need to look into prep classes.
3)MERRY CHRISTMAS, HAPPY HANUKKAH (L’chaim), HAPPY KWANZAA - Anyone watch Doctor Who? I just got into it, and I love it. Some of the episodes are really scary though.
- Most of my friends are girls, but considering the ratio of girls to boys in my school is 3:1, my number of guy friends is pretty good.</p>
<p>I didn’t watch the christmas episode of Dr Who earlier, did anyone else?</p>
<p>I am going through all of them (almost done with Series 2) but I am probably going to watch the special tonight at 9.</p>
