^ we’ve been having this unusual weather for a couple days (like high 30s/ low 40s average) everyone hates it but I love it! It got warmer today though :(

HELP HELP HELP

Should I take physics over the summer so I can take AP physics in junior year? This would mean that I won’t have very many summer activities/extracurriculars, though. The reason why I want to take AP Physics next year is so I have space for other classes during my senior year.

This is kind of like an Academics vs Extracurricular question.

@purpledino: Academics are usually far more important than ECs. Go for it!
Just make sure to also ask your counselor about it-if he or she is very experienced in dealing with colleges then he/she will have much better insight than a high school sophomore. ;)

@goodnoodle is that cold for California? Lately we’ve had 8-degree mornings/nights and sub-20-degree afternoons. Plus some snow. ;)

I got 2 exams tomorrow I’d rather take than postpone, so unlike others, I want (not want, but.) to go to school.

@elven I think we reached record (low) daily averages this week

@ElvenRanger: That’s freezing for California. Honestly, I thought I was going to turn into an icicle this past week. Brrr… I’m cold just thinking about it.

Anyone know anything about AP Art History? How hard is it?

@goodnoodle, crystal: oh ok, I thought someone told me once that one of the ‘San’ cities is surprisingly really cold… Can’t remember which one :p

@josh I’ve heard that, unless you are killer at memorizing stuff, Art History is NOT a subject you want to take. And don’t take it if you’re not interested in history stuff either. I’m pretty good at memorizing things but I hate history so I didn’t take it and I’m not planning on taking it.

@Elven had to convert that to celsius, but so cold! I’ve been having issues with the cold here but it hasn’t got below 25f at all. It’s just not so fun because it hasn’t gotten abve freezing (I don’t know what that is in fahrenheit) for about 4 days, so the snow is all frozen and it’s gross.

I’m thinking about taking ancient greek out of school next year, has anyone else done it? Is it a hard language to pick up?

Its all greek to me.

Suppose to snow here in a couple of hours, we’re getting out two hours early and no school tomorrow!

Hey 2015ers,

Right now we’re doing AP/AICE applications and I was wondering what you guys think of this tentative schedule.

AP Statistics
AP U.S. History
AP Lang & Comp
AP Biology
AICE Precalculus
Spanish 3 Honors
Chemistry Honors

I’m not sure if I should make any changes or not. Any recommendations?

Sounds good, if you can handle it and all!

Guys, it’s SNOWING!!!
(Well, here anyways, I don’t know about where you all are)

Here too, but very lightly :D

Hello everyone.

@Sentient: hi! :)

It was a lot warmer today, in the 40s for the afternoon. :)

@Allergic: be prepared to do a TON of writing. I literally write more in my stats class than my english class.

Woo school’s just closed! Has to be in until lunchtime, but by we had a few inches of snow :D

I envy you guys who have the possibility to take AP classes.
We don’t have any of those here in Romania.
Unfortunately it’s snowing again here.

^Here too, all classes are the same level, all across the UK. Some are streamed and some schools are selective, but they are almost all working towards the same final exam. The exception is IGCSEs offered at some schools instead of GCSEs, and Pre-Us instead of A levels. Also IB but that’s the same level as A levels.

I know, my school doesn’t offer any APs. We just have weighted, dual-credit, and just college credit. /:
