@UKgirl, me too! It was driving me nuts!

Anyone hate pre-cal as much as I do? I ended with an 83

^i hate Precalc. But now that I’ve started trying second semester, I am convinced that I coulda gotten an A if I had studied and did Hw.

All what ifs aside tho I had a 79.5

@marshmallowpop, thanks!

jax123, precalc is easy. why?

I’m fairly sure what I want to take next year, just not sure on a few details. I’m doing “highers” in everything (Scottish qualification about equal to standard level IB) and it’s a one-year course. Anyway:

English: this is compulsory and looked fairly similar to one of the AP Englishes when I checked
Maths: Mixture of what you’d consider pre-calc and calculus
Physics: Not really got a US equivalent
Chemistry: approx. standard level IB
Either Biology, Computer Science, or both

OK also I’m pretty excited about physics (…yeah) so I’m gonna post a slightly edited down version of the curriculum. Sorry.

"Unit 1
equations of motion, energy and power, collisions and explosions, gravitation, special relativity, the expanding universe, big bang theory.

Unit 2
the standard model, forces on charged particles, nuclear reactions, wave particle duality, interference and diffraction, refraction of light, spectra.

Unit 3
electrons and energy (circuits and capacitance), electrons at work (semiconductors, p-n junctions).

Unit 4: Researching Physics
researching the underlying physics of a topical issue, planning and carrying out investigative work, preparing a scientific communication."

…Yeah, I like physics.

^ Kill me now.

Why kypdurron??? what’s wrong?

hey guys! i’m new on this forum
i’m from asiaaaaa anyway whatsupp :)

@nomatter I think kyp is referring to the physics posted above. At least I hope he’s not suicidal

I got into summer at brown. So happpyyyy my birthday is tomorrow best present everrrrrr

My schedule will most likely be
AP Bio
APUSH
AP English (language)
AP Calculus BC
Spanish 4 (no honors or AP offered)
an Art class (required)

And then for my last class either AP Macroeconomics or another art class (2 art classes are required)

@westward congrats! I really should have sorted something out for this summer

Are any of you rugby fans? I have tickets for England-Italy in a few weeks and I’m so excited!

@kypdurron ARE YOU OKAY??

Congrats, westward! :)

@UKgirl23 I just saw your comments about kypdurron. aha!

Go watch state of the union guys!

ENGLAND-ITALY TICKETS!!! JEALOUSY!!! ENY!!!
I Am the only CCer on HSL that plays rugby in the US. AND I LOVE IT
Kill me now refers to physics. or the state of the Union

@shmluza-No. Just… no.
Yes, I hate politics that much.

I’m about to miss 3 days of school for an orchestra thing.
Not looking forward to making up all that work… :(

^That’s the only thing I hate about missing school. You have to make up tests, quizzes, and piles on homework.

I love rugby too, but I haven’t been able to play for the last few years since the teams have to go single sex, because the only girls club nearby trains the same time as the boys club, which my both my parents have to be at for my younger brothers, so I can’t get there :/

I don’t dare missing school anymore. I’m so afraid of having to make up all that work.
