<p>@UKgirl23 Rugby tickets! I’m afraid I’m probably going to be doing the standard Scottish thing of sitting grumbling in a corner seeing as it’s England v. Italy, but hey.</p>
<p>Also, politics is pretty interesting. I prefer not to talk about it too much on line though, as I always end up expecting people to agree with things based on the political climate up here. (“I mean, it’s generally accepted that a heavy progressive tax and rigid benefits structure is best for everyone, so the real question here is regarding the use of means testing.” “…Oooookaaaaaay.”)</p>

<p>I find politics interesting, but I still feel like it’s a big effort to pay attention and make it interesting.</p>
<p>Ah, I have flu too. Unfortunately it’s half term here so all it means is I’ve lost the chance to get a load of stuff I need to do done.</p>
<p>^Im so sick right now too. Im not going to school today. My friend got really badly sick and was out for a week, then she came back this week and got me sick. 
Yesterday was so miserable because I had to stay late for some things that I was doing at school (till like 8) and I was stumbling around dizzy all day haha.</p>
<p>Not sure I do have flu, at least not yet. My little brother had it last week, and mym mum at the moment so I assumed it was that, but (as is always the way when I miss school) I’ve been feeling better this afternoon.</p>
<p>So I spent the day looking up book quotes:</p>
<p>My reasons for going to boarding school: “I go to seek a great perhaps.” and “It wasn’t about being happy or unhappy. I just didn’t want to be me anymore.” and to some extent “If you don’t imagine, nothing ever happens at all.”</p>
<p>And for life:

“What is the point of being alive if you don’t at least try to do something remarkable?”</p>
<p>And my personal favourite, which I’m still waiting for an oportunity to slip into conversation:

<p>Omg get this: today in Chem class my teacher sprayed a kid with the fire extinguisher to demonstrate sublimation! LOL! </p>
<p>So is anyone doing anything for President Day break? Here on LI the break was cancelled (except for Monday) thanks to Sandy, but many people are still going on vacation. Im leaving for DC tomorrow. We’re getting a White House tour on Saturday! XD</p>
<p>In chem on tuesday we were setting fire to bubbles of butane in our hands. Surprisingly fun, and scary…</p>

<p>So glad I watched it! John Green, my favourite author and vlogger, announced he’s expecting another baby, his wife made one of her first online appearances and then Obama told the baby not to forget to be awesome, which means quite a lot in this youtube community. Overall very hyped up, so much so that I forgot I’m ill and really should be sleeping…</p>
