<p>@CE most schools have the week of Presidents’ Day off. In Cali they call it the “ski break”. Here we just say “Winter Break”.</p>
<p>I wish our school had a week off! instead, we’ll only have Monday off. and I have so much to do…</p>
<p>We have half term, which is basically an oportunity for people to go skiing. I’ve never been though, so it’s more of a chance to catch up with homework :)</p>
<p>Half term skiing is still kind of weird to me. It seems to be a very private school thing? In my (state) primary school, no one even knew how to ski. Now, it seems like I’m the only person who /isn’t/ going to the Alps or somewhere.</p>
<p>Obviously it’s pretty expensive, which is one reason I’ve never gone (family of 6) but I don’t think it’s limited to private schools, I’m at a state grammar.</p>
<p>I’m pretending to be ill today because I wanted the holiday to catch up on the work from yesterday, instead of having to do it for today :)</p>
<p>We don’t have grammar schools in Scotland, which probably explains it.</p>
<p>I’m actually feeling better (finally) but have just realised I only have 3 days of holiday left, and a test to revise for on the first day back.</p>

<p>@AlexHarper: I don’t have AP Euro now, but I will have it next year and I’m terrified! It’s notorious at my school for being ridiculously hard and even people who are really really smart (including one girl who got a perfect SAT) say it’s horrible. It’s literally impossible at my school to get an A in it too.</p>
<p>I’m on midwinter break now. I get the whole week off! Too bad I have a lot of homework. :(</p>
<p>Has anyone got any historical film suggestions to keep me busy during the break? I’ve already watched all that BBC iPlayer had (13 Days and Tropic Thunder, which is kind of historic…) and just finished My Boy Jack :’(</p>

<p>I wish my school had AP euro. I like euro history. we have world. I’ve heard ap world is really hard - i mean the national exam.</p>
<p>Oh myy goodness. I Can’t wait for track to start, its going to be so much fun! I’m hoping to make it to states this year and actually have a shot. But I doubt it will happen. I run the 4x4, 4x8 relays and 400m and 200 meter sprints. </p>
<p>AP European is really hard. The amount of work and knowledge is incredible, but I think I’ll be prepared in the end.</p>

<p>Can’t wait for track, gonna be so much fun!! I run the 400m and occasionally the 200m. I’m thinking about trying the pole vault this year.</p>
