@2016senior Thanks!
To be honest, I kind of love coming to this thread. It’s one of the few places in CC where I don’t experience rudeness or pretentiousness, at least from those who most comment here.

@LordBendtner I’ve started to consider this cause I’m not ready for AP chem
I really enjoy that too everyone is so nice here!
Did most of you guys see a GPA on the SAT score report that was different from your actual one?
My school reports on a 100 scale and mine is a 93+. On a 4.0 scale it would actually be a 3.8 but the SAT score report says 4.0 lol (I wish).
I’m pretty behind on summer assignments and school starts in three weeks. Considering all the college apps I’m doing plus making time for work, I’m anticipating dropping some classes the moment I get a chance.
Just thinking out loud here but. We still have awhile before most apps are due (especially if you’re applying RD somewhere). I think it would be a good idea to not rush some essays and really take the time to think about what you want to write.
Again, that was just me thinking out loud.
I got back on social media to stay in contact with people I met over the summer but now I feel like the whole world is watching me. OH NOOOoooo =))
Okay, sorry for the triple post you all. I’m done for now.
I just realized how similar a lot of writing prompts are. Yay for eventually being able to reuse essays/writing ideas later on.
Now I’m really done. =D>
There’s a GPA on SAT score reports? Is that, like, a predicted GPA or…?
Oh my lord, school is WAY closer than I thought it was…
To keep us busy and make sure we know what to do/get a head start.
…School starts in 28 days?..F!
If you click on “understand your test performance” under your SAT score, it takes you to the score report. The score report has a tab for each section (cr, m, w). If you click on one and then click on “compare your score” and scroll down, it tells you the average GPA at your school and your GPA (as they calculate it).
wait what is with this score report thing, ive never used it before
oh me keep being clueless
@cityonanocean - Thanks so much! Wow, my school really sucks.
@glasshours Mine has a 3.23 average GPA and a 1280 on the SAT.
Just got an email saying that my school has decided not to offer AP Physics C next year do to a limited amount of physics teacher. They said that i could take AP Physics 1 instead or just pick another class. Would taking AP Physics 1 be pointless?
@md1998 What do you plan to major in?
I keep on trying different essay ideas and can’t seem to get one to work. Hopefully my new idea works out
@XoXdreamerXoX no idea haha. I change my mind almost everyday. My range of choices so far are mechanical engineering, accounting, finance, pre- med, pharmacy, or mathematics. I’ll most likely apply for mechanical engineering though.
@md1998 if you want to apply for mechanical engineering, taking physics would show inclined interest.
@2016senior I’m in the same boat. It’s frustrating to reach halfway through the essay only to see it won’t work out.
