@2016senior I got a 99 in AP Physics 1. I’m pretty sure my sister will barely make a 90 in Pre-AP Physics and only because I love physics and helping her would be fun. She’s not one for school. If she could just be left to draw, she’d do it all day.
So, my schedule as of now is as follows:
-Debate 1 (not supposed to be in there. I don’t have any interest in debate.)
-AP Calculus BC Dual Credit (DC+AP are the same curriculum, except if you take both you get AP ranking points (+12) instead of dual credit/Pre-AP points (+8))
-AP Macroeconomics (3rd period when AP gov is only available 2nd and 5th. This is the only AP Econ block. The counselors messed up. )
-AP Physics (will probably turn into AP Physics 2 next week. It’s still called AP Physics 1 at the moment.)
-AP Chemistry
-AP Psychology
-AP Biology
-AP English Lit & Comp
I need to find a class to take instead of debate.
Lol at the fact that I still haven’t started my summer hw #senioritis
I just got my schedule. I’m in my first, second, third, & fourth choice classes. My GC made it sound as I’d only be in one…
English 4
Sociology
Financial Lit
Psychology (S1)
Computer Appreciation
Grade 12 Health/Gym
Sat Prep ELA (M1)
SAT Prep Math (M2) wish this was M1!
Marine Bio (S2)
Forensics (S2)
Schedule got me like:
And yes cross country in the fall how fun
Struggling with just the lit summer hw. how bad would it be if i dropped out of lit? I am also taking 3 other APs, but 3-5 APs is typical at my school…
If an AP class prevents you from being successful in your other ventures, go ahead and drop it. If you can successfully push through, do so.
This is coming from someone in 7 APs and 6 ECs. AP isn’t a requirement nor should it hinder your other successes.
Y’all are lucky you started school! I don’t begin classes until the 14th darn Catholic school. Got my schedule though and it starts off on the first day with a lovely double period AP Calc! This should be an interesting year. I should probably finish my summer work, but I’m so busy with college essays, especially for my Early Action school. Good luck to everyone in the first weeks!!
@newjerseygirl98 - What do you do in Computer Appreciation?
Trying to savor my last week of summer. I really want to go back and see everyone, but I know I’ll want it to be summer again after the first two days, so…
All of my friends only have to show up for 1-2 classes and I’m the only one with a full schedule lol. Welp.
I have homework for AP English Lit & Comp, AP Bio, AP Chem, and AP Psych. At least out of my 7 AP classes, only 3 are really time-consuming. I love my AP Econ, AP Physics, AP BC Calc, and AP Bio classes because they’re not really work-intensive. It’s all mostly done in class and the homework is whatever isn’t finished in class which is never really an issue for most of us.
@glasshours I just Googled it, it seems to be about data processing. I’m not really sure what that means, haha.
Got a C+ on my first AP Lit essay :^) i have a 92.1 in the class lol
Ugh. School starts Wednesday. I get the results for my placement test tomorrow at nine am…
At 9:01 I’ll either be overjoyed and won’t be able to do anything or upset and unable to do anything.
Take your pick.
@michelle426 How much is writing worth in your class?
@LordBendtner nothing is weighted and this was only worth 10 points lol
@michelle426 Everything has the same percentage/weight?
@TheSlacker16 yep. So our grade is determined by: points earned/points possible.
Wow. Most of my AP classes put tests/essays as 60% of our average.
