Mine is 70% for tests/essays at the very minimum. Usually it’s between 80%-90%.
We write at least 3 in class essays every week. The grades pile on quicker than you think. The AP classes I have taken and am taking right now weighted tests like this:
Chinese: 35%
APUSH: 35% essays, 35% MC tests (exams)
Chem: 40%
Econ:??? Teacher hasn’t told us.
Lit: as I stated in my previous comments
Gov: unknown, I take the class next semester
Physics 1: 40%
Calc BC: 60ish%
And we still have >95% pass rates (with an overwhelming number of 5s) for all these classes. I guess what we’re doing is weird, but it’s working.
3 in-class essays every week? That sounds like torture…
Hi all! I have a group project in AP Gov due tomorrow on current events. One person didn’t put their citations in MLA format, another person doesn’t have citations at all, and yet another person hasn’t done a single thing for the project. It’s a bit early now, but if push comes to shove I will do the additional slide/citations that come with it and fix the MLA citations on the non MLA formatted one. It’ll become clear when I present 3/6 slides and one person doesn’t present any that I did half of the work in a five person group. I’ve been nagging people all day to finish their bit because I don’t want to get a bad grade on a project in the second week.
I really, really hate group projects. ._.
@allista sounds like torture but that 95% pass rate doesn’t come out of thin air
Welp, didn’t pass. Commence the tears :(( So disappointed
@TheSlacker16 what math do you have to take now?
@gonewiththeair
How’d that turn out for you?
Has anyone scored a 32-33 on the ACT that wants to help me out on how they did xD desperate in these last two weeks.
@Gatortristan I got a 32 the first time then a 33… to be honest I practiced A TON but meanwhile a lot of my friends barely finished one practice test and gets a 35. If you are anything like me (not good at standardized tests - got a 25 on my first ever practice ACT) the only thing you can do is practice over and over.
mightve asked this before… but who’s applying to Emory?? I’m applying RD
I might apply there RD if i don’t get into anywhere ED/EA @jumpingstar
I have AP Lang, Trig/Precalc, Gov(semester 1), Econ(semester 2), Physics, UHS(college credit) Spanish 5, UHS Psychology (semester 1), Career Exploration Internship Program(semester 2) and study halls both semesters. I’m the most excited for Psychology, I had the teacher for US last year and he is the best! School starts 1 week from tomorrow! Crazy!
Hey yall! I’ve been gone for a while enjoying summer but I’m back! Still a week left until school starts, but I’m actually kind of pumped. Not taking the hardest schedule, but I’m taking a lot of English classes, so it should be a good time
Yeo everyone just curious who’s applying early action to Either Stanford Harvard or MIT?
Also is anyone applying to M&T at Penn?
If so, please dm me
Might early Harvard, but most likely not. @baller55
@baller55 i’m hoping to apply early to Harvard
How are all of you guys paying for application fees?
I only have one “definite” college, which is terrible! I have two maybes, in NYC. I’m not sure if this is smart financially, as I’m in NJ.
@YoAdriaaaaan My mom will pay for them, as I don’t have a job yet. If you mean how, probably credit card.
The income eligibility for waivers is ridiculously low!
credit card
