High school class of 2016

Oh tfw my school’s 25th/75th percentile is 1980/2130 for SAT scores…

Missed my senior homecoming for Harvey Mudd… but the surprising thing is that HC Court was made gender neutral starting this year! Goodbye Kings and Queens! Hello Royalty!

Exactly @basedchem

I’d probably not feel competent in such an environment. Or maybe it’s a better quality of education in such schools. Don’t know.

@XoXdreamerXoX NorCal public education… what can I say?

@basedchem @XoXdreamerXoX Honestly, at my school, we have IB so most people within that program have 2000+. There is a sizable portion of the Class of 2016 who have 2300+. And yea, I do get worried about my future sometimes with subpar scores. #SoCal??

Whoa my high school average is 1871… Moderately competitive people usually aim for the 2000s, the overachievers slave for 2200s, and then the genius kids get 2300+ like it’s nothing. I’m on the higher side so I’m not sure how non-grade obsessed people think of the SAT lolol cries I know someone who was satisfied with a 1900 but that’s about it… Oh I think I heard someone complaining about their 1800… Yeah I’m clueless haha

How many people are still taking tests (SAT, SAT Subject tests, etc)? And how are you dealing?? I should have taken a science SAT but I ran out of time last year and I absolutely do not want to learn something new while going through the whole application process… if I really want to go to engineering school I made sure to apply to liberal arts schools only so I could just transfer within the college hehehe

Hahahaha…cries

Anything I’ve learned thus far has not prepared me for the SAT Subject Tests. I’m dying. My last chance is the November date.

@IBGuy101 We have a sizeable portion of 2300+'s too. Don’t get your IB hype up.

@basedchem *high five for NorCal and high SAT’s. (are you from my school by any chance lol)

We had like 80 National Merit Semis people at my school XD.

I took Math II and Physics, got 800’s (well you can get 9 questions wrong and still get 800 :P) and just decided to not take anything else. I also took the ACT and not the SAT. I’m really pushing the minimal number of tests here :stuck_out_tongue: but I get high scores so it should be fine.

Aside from my meh GPA and possible messed up interview, everything should be fine.

EDIT: lol SoCal vs NorCal. ^Random Canadian guy here who lives in NorCal.

Also, is anyone else having problems sending scores because the ACT site is down or something?

Does anyone know how long it takes for colleges to retrieve SAT scores?
My scores took two weeks to process, and were sent eight days ago, but it still says they haven’t been received!

@XoXdreamerXoX 1050 w/ writing? That’s awful! Our younger grades are terrible. I can’t even imagine what our average will be when we’re gone.

@newjerseygirl If it helps, I sent my scores off on October 1st to Texas A&M and by October 5th I’d received an email from them saying they’d received them and got a letter October 8th saying the same thing.

@qwerytiop who knows? :stuck_out_tongue: maybe we do.

Going on a plane for the first time ever for a flight to Boston. Mostly scared to go through airport stuff and scared because I have a layover in DCA and I’m confused.

Hey guys, anyone applying to Case Western EA?

If so, have you guys received a request for an interview yet? If you have interviewed, what is it like?

Good luck on all your college apps, guys

It’s fine if I just send in my scores now, right? Even without sending in the app yet? I need to apply by Dec 1 for some colleges to be considered for scholarships and I don’t want to risk my scores not getting there quick enough.

@AtharvaLarva I have. I’m not interviewing tho. For some reason tho, they took my ACT without writing when their site says that they want scores with writing, not that i’m one to complain…

@Chrysanthemum14 - Yep!

At my school, top ~20% complain if they get under a 2100 and probably 50 or more 2200+ per grade (600 per grade).

I’m sorry, seniors to hesitate you on this. But could anyone answer my survey? I can’t post links and I need 6 responses. But anyways, I would appreciate it.

It’s so cold in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
