One of the teachers I’m getting a recommendation from makes us write our own letters and she just approves them (of course, I didn’t know this before I asked because if I had I probably would’ve gone with a different teacher). So I guess I have to write myself a rec letter this weekend…
@dsi411 That’s a good thing IMO. You could make a stellar rec for yourself.
But sometimes that could be challenging. Trying to write positive stuff about your performance in that certain class as well as how you overcame challenges and improved upon yourself. I would not be able to write a rec for myself at all. I would just end up bragging!
yeah, I think it’s kind of strange. I assume colleges don’t know about this procedure, or else they’d be wary of believing recs from this teacher (or more accurately, a student’s recommendation for themselves.)

Our AP Lit class finished Tess of the dUrbervilles (absolutely boring) and I got a 70 on a 10 question multiple choice test. …kill me
We have people who get below 50’s on MC… You just started so that’s not bad! I feel like AP Lit is harder than Lang but then my friends say the opposite Dx
So I have school off today because of PSAT testing so I decided to work on college essays (7 more before Nov. 1). However, I’m really struggling to get them started. Can someone please help?

@Sandy12345 I don’t even know how to go about UChicago’s essays… I still have to write 1 more for Madison, 2 for Michigan, 2 for UChicago, and 1 for UIUC.

After a month hamilton has finallaly acknowledged my interview request and i shall commence interviewing in the weeks to come. Now to wait for barnard to acknowledged my interview request there.
@tigerman333 Which Madison one do you still have left? I have first drafts of all of mine, but the “unnoticed” one is really difficult for me to write…
@Pahalia I know!! I requested interviews at all of the places I’m applying to at the beginning of September, and only three have gotten back to me!
