I filled out all ten spots for activities and I have leadership roles in most of them
Anyone got SAT scores back? Unfortunately I decreased by 30 points overall (1070 1st time, 1040 second time). While I increased the ERW by 10 points (590-600), I decreased by 40 points in the math section (480-440). Well math was never my strong suit anyway.
I got mine back! @Rachael2017
Good job on the increase! My reading/writing was lower than I thought it’d be, so I guess I’ll be taking it one more time. :<
I got mine back. Compared to my ACT, I did much worse
I just submitted my Stanford REA application!
Congrats, @photogeek8 !
I’m about to submit my early action application to UW Madison. Does anyone know if it’s possible to edit the Common Application for other schools after I’ve submitted by application to Madison?
I’m wondering this because I have an essay for the Common App, but I want to revise it more before I apply to my other schools in January.
@eyrar99 Yes, it’s completely possible to edit your CommonApp after submitting it to one school. It never locks up.
@eyrar99 Yes. It is possible. You can still change the Common App after applying to UW Madison. However, UW Madison won’t get those changes.
@eyrar99 If you don’t mind sharing, what did you write about for the unnoticed essay?
Yayy, thank you @MissSuzyQ and @Sandy12345
@tigerman333 I wrote about a teacher
I love the feeling you get when you finish writing an essay and you think, “Whoa, this is like, actually good” lol.
@Rachael2017 Have your taken an ACT? I would suggest trying that out. Some people do worse on the SAT and better on the ACT and vise versa.
@Sandy12345 I took an ACT in March 2016 and I got a 22. I’d prefer not to take it again because of the science section. Besides, I’ve decided to close the door on testing because I’m not applying to any Ivy Leagues or other high caliber schools.
@Rachael2017 Oh alright!
Im working transcript requests and am really thinking about my college list and i’m thinking about dropping a school thats been on my list a long time i’m also worried i wont be accapted as an english major because i got a C in english my first quarter of senior year
Sorry just needed to vent a little and just express my worries i now feel slightly better
hey guys, i hope apps are going well for you all! I have a question–one of my teacher recs submitted his rec for all of my schools the other day, but i’ve decided against applying to some of them. do i have to email these schools and let them know that even though they received a rec, they shouldn’t expect an application? or is it ok to just let it be?
@thecolourist I’d email or call the school to let them know, but I don’t know the technically correct procedure in this situation.
@thecolourist I think it’s fine to just let it be. People change their mind all the time after sending recs, test scores, etc. I think you should inform your teacher to keep them up to date and your second rec, if applicable so that they don’t waste their time sending it to that school.
You have to submit the common app for the recs to go out.
@tigerman333 Hey, I’ve applied to Michigan! If you still need help I’d be happy to read your essays!
