@frazzledazzle Parents on CC kinda unnerve me- I know I’d be unhappy if my mom or dad were talking about my college prospects without me, but some of them here seem nice so IDK. I definitely agree about worrying about college. My twin sister doesn’t want to discuss it with me, since she thinks this is the last year we don’t have to think about college, but I disagree! I’d rather be focused now, so come junior year I don’t freak out.
@ak2018 I don’t even have more than an hour or two of homework, but knowing me I’ll probably start it at 5 AM. 
@LeopardFire If they did that, it would make me lose faith in them as my parents. I wouldn’t like for my mom/dad to be living vicariously through me. It’s better for the child (us) to make our own decisions about our OWN LIFE than have our parents choose it for us.
@ak2018 I’m finishing up my homework right now. All I have to do is write an essay, do another worksheet, and read the rest of the chapter in my Biology textbook! I feel very productive right now. 
@frazzledazzle I agree that chance me threads are useless in that college admissions are far too subjective so the subjective parts of your application are hard to determine. Those “Brainiacs” you mentioned however do need to be worried because again of how hard it is to determine the impressiveness of the subjective part of the application and all CC does to these students is give them false hope and security like @ak2018 stated. However I feel Chance me posts may actually be a lot FRIENDLIER than actual admissions, because they actually tell kids with low GPA’s that they have a chance when a majority of admissions officers just throw the application in the trash(Brutal but true most of the time). I don’t think it’d be smart to have a chance thread on this page because the fact that we know each other more so we will tend to think of their application as better than strangers viewing it such as admissions officers or chance me people
@frazzledazzle I totally agree and am kind of glad my parents don’t usually do that kind of thing. However, I would like it if parents would help us out with our homework once and awhile. I mean even if they don’t remember that much, they have to remember something. Also, I all have to do is finish my Chemistry lab and some make up work for English and Spanish and while I hate to admit it, I actually like this whole back to school vibe. Tonight will probably be the most productive I’ve been all break.

@ak2018 I agree. My mom doesn’t remember what I’m learning from her high school days in the 70’s, and my sister doesn’t know because she is a grade below me.
I remember being the eighth grade and learning about how you can get college credit for taking AP classes and I got excited lol. I knew I would be taking HuG so I searched up on how to prepare for it and that’s how I found CC. I’m glad I did because it’s interesting how I can talk to other kids my age about the same thing I care about. People in real life at my school don’t understand me lol so I can’t talk to them about anything school related.
I’m down for an all nighter, but I most likely won’t be doing any homework. That is what I have a study hall is for…I will sleep in World Studies so no worries.
@ak2018 Interstellar was phenomenal!! I could barely keep up with that movie, but still it was so great. I don’t really know any other movies besides the three you have mentioned, Interstellar, Gravity, and the Martian.

Lol @tonyk16 It’s 1am and I’m currently finishing my Spanish homework. I already finished my Chemistry lab and English poetry worksheet, which is two months late. That’ll be a fun thing to hand in to my English teacher. After this, I’ll make some flashcards for Spanish. No sleep for me tonight loI. I also watched Interstellar multiple times to be able to understand it.
I have pity for all of you guys. I’m off on Monday because of Staff development. Yay for an extra day of procrastination and sleeping in! :D/

I think I’m going to spend today practicing my instrument before my director starts yelling at me for not knowing the music. I haven’t opened my case once this whole break…I also need to finish essays for an application to a Summer program that I really want to attend. I’ve rewritten them multiple times and the inner perfectionist in me still doesn’t think they’ll be good enough. I don’t understand how I can be a procrastinator and perfectionist at the same time. I guess it’s just anxiety. My brain is a mess. :))
