@snowfairy127 I see your point.
I don’t like history…
@premednyy My dream school is Princeton. The location is perfect for my tastes, the mathematics department is great (mathematics is my prospective major), and not to mention it’s COOL. I highly doubt I’ll get in, though. sigh
My list is
UCLA(slight reach)
UCSB(match)
UCSC(safety)
U Of Indiana(match)
NYU Stern(reach)
UCR(Super Safety)
Lol Leo finally won an Oscar!
It seems I’m the only one on this thread to have a balanced list of reach, match, and safety schools LOL.
You know those colleges with 99% acceptance rates? I’m the 1%.
Today felt like the first day of spring. The birds were chirping, the sun rose as I was walking to my bus stop and, unfortunately, all the bugs and insects are returning back from HELL! I’m fine with them, but I wish they would leave me alone. Today was the first day I had to worry about flies since mid-October.
@neptuna Same! :)) How you been?
@Hamlon ah sorry i’ve been offline for like forever but yeah i am applying! I literally just submitted my application and I’m so stressed bc my essays were awful. Are you applying?
@BucketsUCSC I have 8 reaches, 9 matches, and three safeties. I’ll probably narrow it down im the next couple years or so
i have about 4 safeties, new paltz, stony brook, suny buffalo, and suny geneseo except stony brook, I’m actually very interested in so i guess I wouldn’t consider that a safety…
I seriously only have like 4 or 5 schools I wanna apply to with a couple being finally unreasonable
@reidd799 that’ll save you some time during the application process! I’m going on some campus tours this summer to narrow down my choices but I of course have to apply to all the Ivies (even though I’ll never get in :p)
@BucketsUCSC and daannngggg, full of yourself much? I feel that everyone on this thread is doing the best they can and it’s too early to have a set in stone list of colleges anyway
@premednyy Welcome! My college choices are of following:
-Yale (I have a legacy) -> high reach
-Stanford -> high reach
-Harvard -> high reach
-McGill -> match
-Johns Hopkins -> reach
-UCSF -> reach
-UBC -> safety
-Ecole normale supérieure -> match
-Cornell -> reach lmao duh
Hoping to major in Pre-med or sciences as I want to go to medical school in the future. I would say I have a higher chance at Yale than the rest of my high reach universities due to my legacy but I’m not too sure aha. I don’t care which university I go to as long as I attend one on my list.
@averagebean I don’t think there’s undergrad at UCSF unless I’m missing something.
@nyuhopeful44 GOTEEEEEEEEEEEM
Well honestly I want to self study AP World History since my school doesn’t offer it. But my currently World History teacher has a Barron’s World History Prep Book and it’s the 2008 edition but I don’t know if the test has changed or if it’s possible to use it.
Im not even gonna try for Yale X_X My EC’s are way too weak. So far in my high school career, I’ve been the secretary for the red cross club, debate team, some lab research but i’m not sure if I should include that because it was with my dad (he works at NYU) and i’m joining a medical academy this summer. I wish I had something that would set me apart from all the other qualified canidates ya know?
@gormar099 Whoops, I meant UCSD. But, UCSF is a promising grad school.
