@ak2018 POE is the freshman engineering course for the STEM program at my school, so they don’t even assume that you have Algebra 1 since Algebra 1 is also a freshman level class. When I took the ACT the only geometry-related problems on it were trig problems. I’m confused by your post: are you in Geometry right now? If so just review your Geometry notes before you take the ACT or SAT. If not, try some of the review problems in a prep book.
I’m currently in Algebra II @nyuhopeful44
@ak2018 than you should be good for the ACT, cause it’s mostly algebra problems
Is anyone taking the PSAT this week? I’m taking it and I’ve been reviewing my notes like crazy.
@preciousdiamond meeeeee
@preciousdiamond Your PSATs are so early omg ;o Ours are in November and I actually have to go to the SAT centre to take them.
So a week ago I posted this “So, I took my English quiz today, and it was hard!!” Luckily I got a 95, so PHEW!
How is everyone doing right after Spring break? Or Is everyone doing good before break (if your break hasn’t started)?
@nyuhopeful44 Good luck! I’m super nervous to take it but I just want to get it over with #:-S
@averagebean Really? It’s the PSAT 10 and this November we’re taking the PSAT/NMSQT to practice for the real SAT. This one’s basically a practice SAT geared toward 10th graders.
@apple1893 Let’s just say I would quit school if I got a small loan of a million dollars.
I may have to pull an All nighter because I forgot to do my research for a Model UN simulation on the Iran nuclear deal tomorrow
I don’t know how you guys pull all-nighters… do you guys drink coffee (on a regular basis, not limited to all-nighters)?
My mom always guilt trips me about coffee…
@bubblylaugh I don’t usually pull all-nighters :s If I do, I always get at least some sleep, even if it’s just an hour. If I have to, I drink tea, and I’ll bring soda in an iced tea bottle or something so I don’t fall asleep during class I’m not a big coffee drinker either. It’s not that I don’t like it, it’s just that my grandparents don’t make it often, and if I’m at my house, there isn’t any good creamer lol. I drink tea every morning instead because 1) it’s healthier for you (I think?), 2) it’s easier to make, and 3) I’m Asian so I can always count on there being tea in the house
@bubblylaugh I may have a slight coffee addiction I drink it in the morning, when I get home from school, and sometimes during school (the school sells coffee but its like $2.50— after an all nighter however it’s definitely worth it)
I got a 95 on my oral presentation and a 94 on my essay in English… life is good.
Oh and a 9/9 on my practice APWH CCOT
Does anyone else have an AP World teacher who helps grade the exams in Salt Lake City?
Well today was great. We have a test on Julius Caesar next week for English. We had a sub for Spanish and I took a quarter test in Algebra II. I also found out that I’m got a 69% on Chemistry test. Oh well, I’ll take the B+ in Honors Chem.
For anyone who applied for the Girls Who Code SIP: I emailed them and they said they were sorry for the delays and applicants would be finding out around April 20th! (Kinda annoyed because last year they found out april 1st)
I’m going to a BU admissions meeting on May 16th so I’ll be sure to inform you all about any interesting tips I get that day!
Hope everyone is having a great week and if not I hope that next week is better!
I literally just got home and found my cheesecake gone ~X( I was looking forward to eating it ALL DAY!!!
But the discussion in Model UN was great! but I have like 3 exams this week that I just found out about so I guess I’ll be spending my week studying…Yay!
Well guys, I have another track meet tomorrow! It’s a regional track meet which means every school on our side of the county is attending. I’m gonna be doing shoput and discus. WISH ME LUCK! :)) I’m gonna need it to. I haven’t practice shotput any time this week, but I have done discus. I’m much more confident in my discus skills. Since my parents can’t drive me, they have to work, I’m getting a ride home from my coach (she’s in college).
Ahhhhh…I took the PSAT and it was horrifying, to say the least. I actually had 10 minutes leftover on the math section and I totally forgot about the grid-ins! 8-| I found that out when going to the next section, but it was already too late. Yikes. The reading was complex and I missed answering 4 questions, so I just guessed on those.
