@lindsgal I don’t know exactly if the credits will transfer, but I think it’s a good idea because it shows colleges your interest for education and such
@ak2018 That’s true, but I guess Americans just like to celebrate things haha
@ak2018 actually in Spanish we go in depth on Cinco de Mayo every year. The Spanish won that battle but ended up losing that war against the French. Therefore, most Mexicans don’t celebrate it because it would be like the US celebrating the Tet Offensive (during the Vietnam War.) Instead, the holiday is for Latino-Americans who live in America to celebrate their Latino culture, and thus is more of an American holiday than a Mexican one. The biggest Cinco de Mayo celebration is held in Los Angeles :-S
So to answer your question, it is just a cultural celebration
AP Euro exam tomorrow!!! I’M SO NERVOUS!!! :((
Is anyone taking the SAT subject test for Chemistry on Saturday? I took the AP Chem test and I thought it was so hard, I hope the SAT one is easier
Guysssss AP Bio exam is on Monday - anyone have study tips or a good Quizlet?
@OneNormalKnight This might help! https://quizlet.com/22315269/ultimate-ap-biology-vocabulary-review-flash-cards/
There are a lot more where that came from. You can easily search “tips and tricks for studying AP Biology”.
Good Luck!
Also, I just talked to the gifted education coordinator, there is definitely a lot of paperwork involved. I’m taking the gifted test on June 3rd. I’ll be fine if I don’t get in. I’ll just take philosophy in high school.
The APUSH exam went surprisingly well! I’m pretty confident in a 4, but I’m not 100% sure.
@neptuna THAT WAS SO MUCH EASIER THAN I WOULD’VE THOUGHT!!! Hoping for a 5, but ok with a 4 bc the curve is probably gonna be brutal.
@gormar099 I know! I couldn’t be happier with the short answer questions and the FRQs we got. The MC section was the hardest part. At least I know for sure I’m not going to fail now. I kept imagining this scenario where I got prompts I knew nothing about.
I nearly had a heart attack because we were using pens for the short answer questions and I accidentally wrote my answer for #1 in the space for #4. The proctor handled it though, so it’s fine.
And…now I chill.

9.3% of people got 5’s last year on the APUSH Exam.
According to that link, only 9.8% of people got a 5 on the AP Gov exam, and 51.9% didn’t pass… I’m guessing its because a lot of people take it as their first AP, or at least, I hope so.
I got a 2 on the APUSH exam last year because it was my first AP and my teacher left about a century for us to cram the week before our test.
SAT Bio M tomorrow lowkey freaking out bc I found out that there’s still a ton of plant stuff even if you’re not taking the E??? AP Bio doesn’t really focus on plants so… I really need a 750+ on the SAT ://
Also freaking out ab the AP Bio exam on Monday because I feel so unprepared even though our teacher gave us the released exam and I got a 100 on the mc (we didn’t do the essays). I’m definitely more worried for the essays than the mc because I feel like they’re so subjective and anxiety inducing.
Hoping everyone survived AP week #1 without being completely brain dead and that week #2 goes great for everyone!
That’s me. My mom is an artist, so she does a lot of this. I no longer longboard, had an accident on it, and am now recovering from a traumatic brain injury. My longboarding days a done.

I found this youtube video!
Good luck for everyone taking AP exams! I’m debating whether I should take the SAT subject test for World History in June.
just took the spanish subject test so im done with subject tests forever unless i decide i want to apply to georgetown, in which case I guess i would take lit
My first APs were euro and calc… I don’t know why it was euro because we also offer apush, which i hear is a lot easier, but that’s only for the juniors. And then gov and econ is for seniors…
