In CT, you can get your learner’s permit at 16, a restricted license at 16 and 120/180 days (depends on if you take a driving school course or not), and your full license at 18. That means I’m eligible for a learner’s permit, but I haven’t taken any course. I think I’m going to be taught by my parents, so we don’t have to spend money on a class. I wish my school provided it. :\

Anyone else procrastinating on summer homework? I’m looking at my AP Lang and APUSH assignments right now, and have absolutely no motivation to do them…

@LeopardFire I have two huge packets for APUSH and Chem that I haven’t even touched yet. Good thing I heard that Chem takes like 6-7 hours but worried about APUSH. Someone told me that each chapter takes about 6 hours and we have to do 6 chapters…

hey so I’m taking ap calc BC this fall which is going to be my junior year. I got a 5 on the ab exam but for some reason I’m totally terrified about bc. How hard is this class actually?

I took BC last year. It is exactly the same course as AB but then they add a couple extra topics, such as series, trig, polar, and parametric stuff. The majority of the course is the same as AB; that’s why 50% of people get 5 on the AP exam. However, I took AB for the first half of the year, then moved to a new school and had to take BC for the rest, so it was a bit harder.

Anybody have any tips for improving ACT English scores? I took a practice ACT and got 35s on the Math and Reading and a 36 on the Science but a 29 on the English. Is it feasible to pull that up to a 33?

@kristennl99 I took BC (combined with AB so Calc 1 and 2) spohomore year and honestly it wasn’t that bad. I had a great teacher though. If you already had AB experience you should be fine, but sequences and series are going to suck no matter what.

for the sat has anyone used a kaplan book before?
I have been using it but not the best experience.
Also what other books would you recommend besides the blue book
