@frazzledazzle Thanks. I just did a little Khan Academy. Any topics for math that I felt uncomfortable with, I Googled and found extra practice. I still need to review Geometry really bad though. I haven’t touched the material in over 2 1/2 years and it was probably the topic I struggled with the most on the math section. @kassh4 Thanks! Also, I’m a she. @snowfairy137 I wouldn’t be surprised if you got 1510+. You’re going to be fine.
In case someone didn’t know, PSAT practice test #1 is publicly made available, but practice test #2 only comes with the student guide you get at PSAT registration.
@Hamlon I’m the opposite of you, I do better on SAT practice tests then PSAT, I don’t know why but I feel the PSAT has easier math concepts but they’re tested in more obscure ways
also, once you take practice test 2 could you say what you got because so far I’ve taken practice test 1,2,4 i got a 1490 on test 1 a 1470 on test 4 but i dropped horrendously on test 2 and got a 1410
@frazzledazze I’m the opposite. I only got a 540 in math, but a 660 in reading/writing. I know a 1200 isn’t great, but I hope to get into the 1300’s this year.
So, my first APUSH quiz was a total failure. I got a 69. :’) That’s actually around the class average though, so I’m not too worried. Still, its not fun to look at… Now my overall grade is a C+.
@nyuhopeful44 You took APUSH last year, right? Do you have any tips for DBQs? My first one is tomorrow.
@LeopardFire the first thing you want to do is divide your docs into groups, then develop your thesis. You want to use one group to defend your position and one as your counterargument
@LeopardFire I’m hoping to bring my score up at least 100-150 points. Who knows what will happen.
@lycoris I’m applying to a program where I can take a class or two at a university, but I’m not graduating early or doing dual enrollment.
I found out this morning that I’m a Canadian citizen! <:-P Turns out I’ve had citizenship since birth but I haven’t found out until now. Hopefully that means I can get Canadian pricing at McGill. I would only have to pay $3000 for tuition and fees instead of $19000.
I’m taking a bunch of college courses, but I’m not doing dual enrollment or graduating early. The option is there for me to graduate early, but I want to make the most out of high school! School is frustrating, but I wouldn’t trade another year of my friends, my extracurriculars (marching band, musical, and winterguard especially), or learning. There is so much I want to learn, including taking a few college credit classes my senior year at a discounted price, that I’m not even considering graduating early. Sometimes I wish that I could, to get away from the high school drama and such, but I can tough it out because of all the other things I want to accomplish in high school.
@frazzledazzle Did you ever live in Canada, even as an infant? If so you would pay the out of province Canadian rate of about C$9000/year which is about US$6800.
@TomSrOfBoston I have only lived in Maine. My mom is from Montreal, though, and I have family scattered throughout Quebec and Ontario. The out-of-province cost still isn’t that bad compared to the cost of college in the US.
@frazzle So wait, you just woke up this morning and found out you that were actually a Canadian citizen? Did your parents even know?
Also, to change your profile pick, you must click on the icon that looks like a gear at the top right of the page and then click Preferences. Then, you’ll see Change My Picture on the left side. It’s pretty simple from there. :D.
