High School Class of 2018

@PartoftheHamFam you’ll most likely get commended though, that’s still very high.

STILL DON"T HAVE MY PSAT SCORE!!! ~X(

@Tobster18 God that sucks :frowning: I’m sorry

I got a 1490/224. I’m in CA and the cut off last year was 221. Do you guys think it will go up past 224 or do you think I’m good?

I really doubt that it can go more than a point either direction in CA, so I would say you are good!

I just want to congratulate everyone on their amazing scores!

Unfortunately, I didn’t hit my goal and got an 1100. ( Reading: 600 Math: 500)

So I’m hoping you guys could help me out and share your tips to score at least a 650 in each section as my ultimate goal is a 1300.

As you can see I’m really struggling with math.

Thanks!

@lycoris have you tried khan academy?

@snowfairy137 I did briefly, I just started to seriously study this month. I do plan to use it more starting today. I know my reading score will hit a 650-700 without any problem because without even studying it went up 70 points. And my last practice test put my reading score at 690. Math on the other hand has remained stagnant.

@lycoris One thing you could do is borrow some prep books from the library and try and do some math problem from those? The library is great for free prep.

I just called college board and they said that there was something wrong with my scores, and ** it will be another 5-7 business days before i get my scores **

:expressionless:

Anyone from Texas? I got 1490/221, and last year the cutoff was 220. Thin ice here…I mean I looked at the predictions, and it capped at 221, but you still never know. Any thoughts? By the way, congrats on everyone’s scores! If you feel like you didn’t do well, I’m sure you did in the eyes of someone else, and there’s still the real sat and act and sat ii to make up for it  !

I’m in CA and got a 1480/221. So scared and praying the cuttoff doesn’t go up!

@snowfairy137 @PartoftheHamFam the fact that reading and writing is weighed more helped me out a lot, but I feel bad that it does the opposite for other people :-<

Hey guys do you know if you could get the PSAT hand-scored? My friend got her scores and a lot of her “wrong” answers were listed as unscoreable

Pennsylvania with a 1500, SI 225! Really surprised as normally about 15 kids in my school qualify every year and I didn’t think I’d be that high

Wait how did I get a 216 with a 1460 and someone else gets 221 with a 1490? That’s a huge jump!

English counts twice as much as math does @PartoftheHamFam

@saxynerd It helped me too. I consider myself better at math but on standarized tests I always do slightly better on reading (psat 760 vs 740) (act 36 vs 35) lol

Congrats everyone on your PSAT scores! You guys did great
