@ak2018 I took General Chemistry at my local community college last semester which is the equivalent to the first semester of AP Chemistry so if you have any questions about certain concepts from your 1st semester fell free to ask me. I am trying to prep for the SAT II Chemistry test so I may not know all the answers of the top of my head but I can find them and try to explain them which will also help me study.
@ak2018 @minimango I might be able to help also since I’m taking AP Chem at the moment. Also prepping for the SAT II Chem subject test that I’ll probably take after the AP exam.
Also are any of you taking the SAT II for Math? And if so Math 1 or Math 2?
Also taking AP Chem rn. Feel free to ask me too, however we go by Big Ideas so if your teacher goes by chapters i may not be able to provide any help. Just finished BI4 btw.
@solarsystem @kassh4 Yeah we can always start a chat study group. The more the merrier.
I’m down
I’m only in Honors Chemistry. The grades for the first semester don’t come out until Wednesday but I think I got an A- for the first semester.
My school does rank. As of the end of last year I was 56/276. I’m not the kind of student who gets all As. I suffer from mental illness which makes it hard for me to get the grades I have the potential to get. That’s why over the course of my high school career so far I’ve had a few C grades. That’s what brought my GPA down. GPA at my school is based on weighted GPA not unweighted GPA.
I found out the other day in APUSH that my school’s adding AP European History to the AP courses offered at my school next year! Now my decision’s going to be very difficult to choose what AP history course to take next year. AP World History or AP European History? :-/
@solarsystem Love your username and photo! Do you like astronomy? I do (hence my observatory photo)!
I plan on taking the SAT Subject Tests in Physics and Math 2 in June.
@kassh4 I’m down as well.
Congrats @frazzledazzle on the A!! We could also start a Chemistry SAT II study group thread on College Confidential…
You guys… I am so stressed! There’s so much stuff going on, and I’m about to explode lol.
Like there’s summer programs. I’ve applied to one, and I feel like I already know i won’t make it in. If I do, then it would be the biggest accomplishment ever.
I’m applying to two more just in case. And if I get accepted to none of those, I guess I could just work my job throughout the summer, but I don’t want to do that.
I’m also trying to become a part of my school’s literary team. We had to write an essay to try out for the open slots, and I feel so nervous about that. I found out monday if I made it on the team. They’ve won state the past two years, so it would be great to be on it.
I’m also worrying about the SAT and what my score will be when they come out on the 23rd.
I dont know… I feel so overwhelmed by everything.
@frazzledazzle Hey, at least you’re trying your hardest even though there is a few obstacles!
From someone who has taken both AP World and AP Euro, World is much more difficult due to it covering a much wider time frame and geographic area then Euro. But I liked both classes, even though my Euro teacher kind of set up the whole class for failure :-L . Anyways, I would recommend both, even though World is much more tough.
Also thanks and I do love astronomy! Its my lifetime goal to become an astronaut when I’m older!
@minimango I’m also down for the chat and the SAT II group thread
@solarsystem Perfect! I’ll start one…
@HelloThereHola I know things might seem overwhelming but just know that you’ll get through all of it!
@HelloThereHola I know how you feel. Summer apps, clubs, sports, grades, you name it! I applied to one summer program where I have a substantially higher chance of getting accepted just to ease my nerves.
In other news, I got to play with dry ice all day and do experiments with little kids. It was the highlight of my week.
