@neptuna My school is doing the same thing! The SAT replaced the old standardized test that we did in order to graduate. I’m looking at it the same way you are, though it would have been wonderful to just take it once and never have to worry about it again…
I have performance task #1 for AP Seminar due tomorrow, really nervous!
@neptuna Not sure if it works this way at your school, but I feel that if your state isn’t paying for it, it would make more sense to have the option of writing available for students if they pay the $12 fee.

@aspiringgirl @phantomlink What are you guys serious!! We had performance task #1 due on Jan 20. And have performance task #2 due next week!!! My teacher was like OMG we are sooo behind!!! I feel like I’m going to die because there is no way i can write 2,0000+ words in 1 week. ~X( I’m going to have a very interesting conversation with my teacher tomorrow! X(
@Tobster18 When did you start working on performance task #1? My class spent the first week in January presenting a practice performance task #2 and didn’t start the real performance task #1 until January 11th. According to my teacher you’re supposed to have 5-6 weeks.
We started task #1 in December, and so we only got around 4 weeks because of winter break. We started task #2 a little over two weeks ago! I hate my teacher. >:P
I got a 100% on my Trigonometry Graph Quiz and now I’m in a good mood! Also, we should bring back the M.N.H.C. tonight. I’m currently trying to finish my SAMS essays and then I’m going to study for my AP Chem quiz.
@Phantomlink My performance task one is not due for another week (2 weeks?). My teacher has been absent a lot so that might be the reason

@Hamlon I played piano since 2nd grade, but I mostly just play for fun now. Luckily colleges have them available, so I hope I can continue to play! If you want to play in college, look into whether colleges have orchestras!

@Marg532 I had two 5-day weekends. One snow day, 2-day weekend, then two snow days. Then it was one day of school. Then one snow day, one day of teacher strike :(, 2-day weekend, then Mi’kmaq heritage day/family day. It was so much time that I completed all of my assignments for the next one-two weeks
I took a practice test for the SAT and only missed 3 on reading and 2 on writing ^:)^ and I had 25 minutes to spare on reading and 10 to spare on writing, so if I checked my answers I probably would’ve done even better ^:)^ ^:)^ ^:)^ . I have yet to take the math section though.
@LeopardFire Exactly! By the way, I wonder when scores will be released for the March 1st SAT. They don’t list that since it’s not one of the “main” test dates. Hmm.
@acomfysofa That would’ve been much better. Unfortunately, my school just registers all juniors for the SAT without the essay automatically.
