People who r goin to HKU, dnt u guyz feel we shud hav a fb group?

Muntasir: I can’t give you concrete advice. I only did my research for the Business sector.

If E&F is the same with business then the following info would be correct…

If it isn’t well… I honestly don’t know…

If you’re intending to study after your undergraduate studies, then I think that

HKU will be a better choice. The tradition and alumni of HKU is always a real plus.

Although HKUST is growing at an unprecedented rate, it’s still new and can’t catch up with

HKU is that sense.

However, HKUST has a FANTASTIC business school. Top 10 in the world in the business sector

in less than 20 yrs is a milestone and sure proves the quality of education and research

done at HKUST. (If you go to HKUST, then you can get into the MBA courses of UST easier later on…)

To conclude:

If you intend on doing further studies elsewhere and not in HK: Then HKU

If you intend on not doing further studies or further studies at HKUST: Then HKUST

will be the choice I recommend and think is the best choice.

(BTW, the above info is only if E&F is similar to the business school.)

Muntasir: Oh,

There’s no FB group of 2010 HKU Undergraduates yet??

I have a Facebook ID, but really don’t do it at all (up til now anyways…) so I didn’t know…

Thx XferStudent. I’m 20 yrs old. >_<

What u mean HS or undergrad? I applied after my CIE A-levels.

How old are you?

I got an offer from the HKUST today!

Applied on 19th March (for anyone’s who’s anxious waiting for an offer)

carni: Congrats! Which major??

@hevonik : Hey if u’re looking for accomodation near Prince Phillip Hospital, SWIRE HALL is the closest to that building. 10 minutes walk, but it’s not that bad really. Btw, where are you from? It’s really good that you got accepted to HKU DENTISTRY as NON-LOCAL STUDENT! it’s so hard to get in!

I am going to hong kong this monday for a tour of the campus at hku and do visa stuff!! I really cant wait!! 6 months since my graduation! I really cant wait to study again!!

@ Joshtn- Did u apply for the accommodation? Um kinda really confused bout it, so if u dnt mind can u pls go nd visit few of them or evn tak to the staffs there?

@kyubaek90 : Computer Science, what about you?

carni: I got accepted to Global Business, but I’m planning on going to HKU… Anyway, Congrats!!

that’s great, kyubaek90.

which do you all think is better for computer science, HKU or HKUST?

carni: Look up my former posts I wrote about HKU and HKUST. But for science, I’m not

familiar with the field, but considering it’s computer science, maybe HKUST is better.

But again, I’m not sure. I’m not familiar with the computer science field.

for comp science and all things technology=HKUST rules

I did check up on the previous posts, I’ve been lurking quite a while :p

and I guess HKUST it is then!

and Anand78: what major are you going for?

@muntasir: no problem i will visit couple of them like suen chi sun, starr, LSK, etc… and i will post any interesting things i find out… hehehe

@Joshtn- Thanks a lot dude :-)
