I uploaded my most recent transcript I had at the time in September, which included just 3 years of my High school grades. They just told me my application is complete, so I"m assuming maybe they didn’t get your transcript with the rest of your docs possibly…? I think the best thing for you to do is just send in another one, with or without your first semester grades of your senior year, asap.

Guys… I applied to HKU for IBGM, BBA and Econ and Finance with my IB prediction 40/42.
It seems like many ppl are receiving requests for interview sessions… and it just makes me worried cause I am not hearing any news from HKU… If I dont receive interview request in this period, does this mean that I will not be offered a spot in my major choices?

hey guys! i had posted this earlier, but i’m doing it again cuz i didn’t receive replies…

i am an international student doing the IB diploma programme and i was wondering how I should send my transcripts and predictions to HKUST. they say you can upload them on the application form itself, but our school does not let students know their predictions for each subject… so should i send them my transcripts separately?

also i have a 41 predicted in the IB and 2050 SAT with 730 math 2 and 750 chemistry. do i stand a good chance of getting in? does HKUST offer admission solely on IB predictions and SAT scores?

thanks in advance for your help!!

Hi.
anyone had attended the HKU undergraduate admission interview before? how was it like?

Hi.
Has anyone here ever received any confirmation from HKU after they received your supporting documents? Anyone know how to ask them coz I can’t find any e-mail addresses nor are they replying to that ‘enquiry’. All I received from them was a confirmation of my submission of the online application when I submitted it.

Thanks in advance.

u can send an email to admit@hku.hk and they will check for u.

@dohyun - If there is nothing disastrous in your application, with your predicted score you should be receiving an email shortly in this month about your phone interview for IBGM, or for E&F, interviews are not required.

@tintin - You should ask your school to send predicted scores directly to HKUST. Conditional offers are given out by UST and you are required to meet them to seal the offer. If you achieve the scores as stated as above, I’d say you have a good chance - one other important factor would be your interview then.

I have 2 questions. 1. Crap I didn’t include my predicted scores. I listed out which AP’s I would take but I didn’t write the scores I would get. Could HKU assume I’ll get 5’s since that’s the score I’ve gotten on all my past AP’s?
2. Do I include original certificates? Because when I called CUHK, they said “don’t you have any awards?” even though I listed them all out in my resume. So should I send photocopies of awards to HKU too?

Hey, does anyone know when HKU dentistry send out interview invitations?
thanks!!

@ammar93scorpio
Your scores are pretty high. keep your fingers crossed i guess.

@Aleksandra
I guess you can tick Year 12 high school. Just state that you’re in your final year of IB to clear things up for them.

@verystressed
well, can’t deny that certs/awards etc make your application look nice so just send them in

If your application and supporting documents reached HKU before the deadline, I think you can expect them to let you know about the interview by end of this month

@rainbowrainbow

At last a reply! Thanks a lot rainbowrainbow and are u a student at HKu or hkust or are you also an applicant!

Hi, I just want to ask if it is easy to shift majors in either university and if there’s anything else I need to remember about it. I kind of changed my mind about my first choice, haha.

@ForeverAutumn
I think it’s pretty flexible at HKU. However, if the major you want to switch to is a super-competitive one then it might be difficult. What major do you want to change to?

Hi guys,
Dilemma here…
It seems like HKUST and CUHK both do not allow score choice for SAT
My scores fluctuate A LOT, and the highest score I received (2130) was in January 2009 -.- (which means my scores have been going down …a bit up… then down again since then.
I am an IBDP student, predicted 44 . So do you guys think i should send the SAT scores anyway? Or will the scores jeopardize my chances?

Another concern is that just from my school, there are a few kids with similar predicted grades as me, and have wayy higher SAT grades- they’ve submitted theirs…

So, I am not sure what to do!
Help out please T.T

@ Ammar

What were your AS grades n percentages…just curious!

Do you guys know if there is a possibility of sending references to the CUHK by referee from his e-mail? Please answer asap

@Cocomo
I did not take As exams. I’m gonna take complete A levels this june. But my Internal A1 results on my transcript are 2A*s and 2As.
Where are u frm and have u also apllied?

@Aleksandra

It’s OK to send the reference letter to CUHK by email and I would suggest you do so, it will speed up the process of your application. However, you still need to send it by mail afterwards once you’re in free. I did the same thing and sucessfully got the official offer letter from CUHK on last friday. All the best to you :)

Hi, everyone. I’m new right here. It’s kind of nice to come across a massive thread talking about HK Schools admission. :D

If any indian students want any info regardin undergrad admission …u can ask me…i had applied last year and was accepted…so i hope i can help you all out…

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know anything about the difficulty and SAT/AP scores required to get into Pharmacy at HKU and CUHK? Thanks!
