<p>Hi, I have just joined the post !! Has anybody got advice for engineering at HKUST. I got a call yesterday offering me a seat. I had aplied under the early deadline.</p>

I’m still waiting for a decision from HKUST. I applied for engineering in Nov. 2010 .

<p>hey hey: for all those that got an email from FBE saying that they’ve offered you a place-- when did you guys apply?? I applied in early December, and got interviewed for IBGM in late January, but haven’t had any response… my first, second and third choices are IBGM, Econ/Fin and BBA respectively. I am an international applicant.</p>

about the dorms, if I do go, probably Starr Hall cause everybody in my school who went there went to Starr hall cause it’s the most international. but they do have some pretty interesting going to dim sum at 4:00 a.m. stories in their PJs.
And thanks! Don’t even know if I’m going to HKU since I got accepted by McGill & waiting for U of T. Getting accepted HKU was an anticlimax after McGill, sadly. The first acceptance is always the best. :)</p>

<p>Hi so I applied to CUHK mechanical and electrical engineering on early December, and I’ve never heard of them since then is that normal?</p>
<p>I think for HKUST they’re first admitting jupas and non-jupas students. I emailed them and they said that international students decisions will be release around March and April. Also for CUHK, I know they have release a few decisions for non-jupas and jupas students as well… not sure if they have release any for International students. I emailed them before too and they said that ED students’ decisions will be release from Jan to March.</p>
<p>Hey guys, I’m new here, stumbled on this forum quite by accident. I currently have a dilemma and I hope that someone out here can give me advices or commments on what I should do.</p>
<p>So I have applied to HKUST (Global Business) & HKU (IBGM). My application for both universities are similar, which includes my SATs, sUEC, SPM results, & also a list of CCA activities. Both applications were submitted on the 31st December. However up to date, I have only received an interview notification from HKU for IBGM and is scheduled for next Monday. Nothing from HKUST. </p>
<p>From what I have read (in this forum), wouldn’t HKUST be more generous with their interview offers? My friends have already had their HKUST interviews in this week. Has anyone experienced the same situation as I? Thanks!</p>

<p>yeah I am in exactly the same situation as you. I had my interview with HKU for IBGM, but so far received nothing from HKUST for Global Business.</p>
<p>Yes, I am international student. The offer came for Com Engg my first choice. I have not yet got any written confirmation. I had 94% in my 10th grade .</p>

<p>hi guys, im freakibg out for i havent got any email regarding the decisions from HKU and HKUST since i applied, which was before
christmas (i sent the supporting documents around early Jan though). IS THIS NORMAL? ive seen some nerve-easing statements here like i should at least wait for two months, etc but it still kills me that maybe i should have chosen safer majors… do u think 37 in IB + 2340 in SAT1 will get me into BBAs in both unis? will the cut-line for the international applicants be much harsher this year???</p>
<p>Yes Indian student, CBSE board. Excurricular inc activities in astonomy, astrophysics,robotics, space club activities, aerospace society activities etc apart from 100% in computers in Board. Still to hear somethng from HKU. The offe is also conditional of getting 90% and above in 12th grade so nothing is final !!</p>
