my jee score 190,no hope to make it there, what about you?

also do you think i ve got a chance at 85%+ in cbse boards.?i ve applied for bba
do you mind sharing your stats?

@ sabbab
No i’m not, lol I’m half chinese half african/black…

My friend was also told to send of his transcripts but he told them that he does not have the “overall scoring” or something so HKU replied saying that it doesn’t matter and they would forward this to the admissions tutur. :S hope that helped.

I was asked to send transcript ASAP in March. I do not know if this is significant.

I’m gettin 240 in JEE. So, I’ll get a rank, but not a good branch.
My Boards were fine, except for Math. Leaving Math I should get 93+ and with it, pulls me down to say 88.
I’ve got 95% in 10th and have many many distinction and high distinction certificates in exams conducted by University of New South Wales, Australia. I have many sports certificates in track and field, basketball, volleyball, football, table tennis, shot put, swimming, etc. I’ve played Basketball for the state of Karnataka U-13.
I got Electronic Engineering :)

@dhawal:congrats on your jee score, and your offer from hkust.your cv looks awesome.
i am also expecting around 91% without physics, and physics will pull my score down to say 88%.i got 91% in tenth.anyways is your offer conditional??also when did you apply?

Critical week for MBBS?

Is it possible to get accepted into 2nd or 3rd choice but wait-listed for first choice?

got into Global China Studies at HKUST:)

@ aichan
Congrats!!! I havent really been following this thread from very early but when did you apply? Because i applied early March to HKUST and still no answers yet :(

I applied on the last day (31st March I think) and had the interview 2 weeks ago.

Apparently the international acceptance rate for Global China Studies was around 2.5% (5 out of 200+). For HKG students, AR was around 3.8% (or 30 out of 781)

HKU is SO SLOW.
and i am not feeling the positive energy
goooossshhhh

@ mangoaddict
I know how u feel dude applied to HKUST March 3 and I still havent heard anything and its not even like I applied to a program as hard as aichn just BSc. …i guess we just gottta try and keep hope alive

@ aichan
CONG!!! I also submitted my application on the last day for late application but now I haven’t heard from HKUST yet. How do you know the acceptance rates? BTW, I’m Mainland Chinese and applied as non-local applicants (not international).

i asked them about the international acceptance rate during our phone interview. they told me that 200 internationals applied, 20 were chosen for the interview and only about 5 will be picked eventually.

as for the hkg acceptance rate, i read somewhere on their website that 781 applied and only 30 will be picked

@ aichan
it’s more selective than I’ve thought. i wanna say you’re really strong! it seems that for hong kong people, the acceptance rate is even lower…

@istor, did you apply to GCS? i’ntl AR is still lower than HK AR btw

@ aichan
i applied to ECOF. getting my hopes down.

Would local applicants with international qualification be disadvantaged in anyway when competing against local applicants with location qualification ,and international applicants?
