HKU or HKUST

are you applying as non jupas

@jbauer
No i don’t, everything I’ve said I’ve either learnt over the internet or heard fromo speaking to an advisor from both schools. I’m from Jamaica and I’m like the only person I know applying to anywhere in China or Hong Kong so i am pretty much onmy own, everyone from my home country always wants to go to US and Canada only.
@med1234
I doubt I’m a jupas. I am not from Hong Kong or have an HKID. Im jamaican so I am classified as an international student. I am currently still in high school in my last year in 6th form (I have the same kind of school system as England)

@jbauer
I didnt ask the academic advisor I spoke to about university students …sorrry :frowning: cuz It doesnt apply to me. If you had told me you wanted info I would have asked her but I still you have space for an invitation cuz she specifically said the round of High school students have been selected. She didnt mention anything about university,so if you want to know just call and ask

did anyone whos applied to BBA (normal) do interview for HKUST?
doesnt BBA NOT require interviewS??

i got into NUS!! but i still wanna go to HKU or UST. ughhh

@MangoAddict: what did u apply for at NUS , HKU and HKUST?
are you non jupas?..did u have any interviews with HKU yet?

@flamingboy93

i applied to BBA (normal) for HKUST, and i got a conditional offer without having to do an interview. still haven’t heard from dual degree tho… still says under consideration :/

@cloudstife - really? I applied in late feb but im not getting any replies.

@ cloudstrife: when did you apply? i also applied to BBA in late march… but haven’t heard from them yet.

any news for Bengineering in HKU yet for non jupas for 2011/2012?

Hi :slight_smile:

has anyone got any updates for medicine? are they sending out any interviews and have they started looking at non jupas high school students yet? also, if you get a interview/offer - would it be through e-mail or the online application status page?

@HKUNonJupasMed
two of my friends here at UK have had med interviews over the easter holidays. they applied with their GCSE results. Thinking they got it through email…

@flamingboy93 and quietape:
i applied in late december and got an offer for BBA (normal) in march. My 1st and 2nd program choices are still “Under consideration”

@ cloudstrife: thanks. it seems that UST people are not fast either. i heard they said the results would come out in early May, but it’s now…

@Quietape - i know how you feel. I also emailed them but they keep saying the result will come out between may-june. Im starting to get worried.

when is the latest that hku will accept non jupas people? does it go on till august?

Hi everyone, I heard that the requirements for HKU LLB are 42 IB Points for non-Jupas students- what would happen if, for example, I only got 40/41 points? Would this mean a definite rejection straight away? I was just wondering.

Thanks!

@jbauer and HKUNonJupasMed
Just checked my online status which said I was “unsuccessful” for MBBS. Don’t really feel sad about it since I was predicting this would happen. Just wishing they made this decision earlier so that they would have replied about BSc. earlier and I could have had a choice between HKUST and HKU instead of having to choose HKUST because they didn’t answer yet. :frowning: Neways best of luck to everyone else waiting for BSc :D

@lilrhule
hii, did you get notified about the HKU news via email or online application status?

@jbauer
hii, have you got any news for non jupas MBBS?

@ other HKU NON JUPAS MEDICINE APPLICANTS 2011
should everyone who have applied for non jupas MBBS get news by now? either unsuccessful/interview or offer? :S also does everything come through via email or the online application status?

@HKUNonJupasMed
They did not send an email to me. I saw the status when I logged online. Well thats just me anyways it may be different for peeople who got accepted.
