HKU or HKUST

@ bluetimberland

Hello and sorry i meant Biomedical Engineering. I applied there as my first choice and haven’t heard from them since. Have any of you gotten your results?

@dubyawhy I got the info from FBE’s faculty talk. The condition is 40 for BBA (Law) and 42 for IGBM.

Though about the bonus part…I am not sure :stuck_out_tongue: It was only my guess haha cuz I think I’d be pretty insane to ask for 42 points raw (the perfect mark? XD)

Hmm… so judging by last years discussion, HKU releases decisions in early-mid march & then again in early-mid April & then again in May/June(for late applications)!

I actually want to get my decision only in April cause then I can compare it with the offers from US univs!! :)

thanks for answering!
How about do u know anything about Chinese University of Hong Kong for the SAT scores?
they said minimum requirement for SAT is score an 8 on the essay. But what if I meet their SAT requirement but low SAT scores, and decent SAT IIs? Will they accept SAT IIs?
I’m a citizen in Hong Kong and studying Hong Kong Diploma

Hi guys, why don’t we all join in the facebook group - https://www.facebook.com/groups/331320486978985/</a> (named Applicants to universities in Hong Kong 2013) That way seems easier for communicating. :)

Hi guys,
Has anyone received offer? Info from the official website: around 37% of all the offers have been issued.

Could you give a screen shot or a link??
I havent heard anybody has got the offer except fast-track.

It’s HKU btw)
[Undergraduate Admission | HKU International Student Admissions](http://www.als.hku.hk/admission/intl/admission)

24000+ applicants thats very competitive. Also, I thought they don’t have quota for incoming international students… Anyway, good luck to everyone and hope that I could be one of the rest 73% admitted students.

Has anyone heard from HKUST yet?

Some of my friends applied in November and they still havent been handed their results.

Just got rejected from HKUST GBUS, offered a **** place at B&M.

44/45 in IB, 4 HL subjects, 2280 SAT, founded a microfinance organisation with over $1.3 million USD in impact.

But. Kinda, sorta, accidentally insulted interviewer’s profession in the interview. At length.

OH WELL. Don’t suppose there’s a way to appeal an admission’s decision?

@jackrabbit420
I applied to HKUST in Nov but haven’t gotten my results yet…

I also applied to HKUST in Nov. as transfer student, but I have not gotten my results. BTW, did anyone receive an email from HKUST about an alumni endowment scholarship? I actually received a mail about this scholarship, stating that I should apply before march 23.

Everyone got that mail. Even people who didnt even apply but started an HKUST application.

BTW you’re talking about that mail which included details of athletic scholarships and all right?

@dubyawhy
sorry about your miss…but are you paying up for B&M? You have amazing scores…you should appeal to the global business school. where are you from, if you dont mind me asking?

One of my friends has received the offer from HKU in the main round. Has anyone else received the offer in the main rounds?

@SAT 456
hi there! which course was your friend offered? and what were his Stats??
(I have given my IB, 35 achieved and my SAT are 2140 …answering your question of another post here!!!)

Aditya- He was given for engineering and he has all A’s in O and A levels. Did you get an interview call from hku?

It seems that hku has only given out few offers in the main round. Does anyone know when would they start to give out most of the offers?

And Aditya where else did you apply?

If u were to choose : hku/hkust/ANU. Wich one wud u choose?

@SAT 456
I have applied to UST/CUHK/CityU for Economics. I have unconditional offers from Manchester, Nottingham and Cardiff. But my heart is in HK:] What about you?
