<p>Hey guys; i have been following the forum for quite a while, finally decided to create an account.
I am an ISC student from India,
I would like to inquire if anyone else is of the same board and/or if you know any person from the same board who have gotten their decision.
Also , that i am not from a CBSE/IB board (the ‘most’ well known in india), does that dim my chances?</p>

<p>, well my stats are not great at all, i have an ‘A’ <a href="%3E75%">Highest grade</a>grade in all the subjects except for chemistry, i do have some good extra-cur-activities related to my course “computer engineering”, a few exchange programs here and there mostly ‘China’
and 2 internships, and i sent them my predicted , because the board results come ,well wayy later in the year.
Also how was your SOP a few friends of mine have written quite long ones ,whilemine was limited to a page. And i’ve applied in both HKU/ST , sort of share your love for Hong kong.</p>

<p>@Aridaman - I am an ISC student and have been accepted to HKUST for engineering. (regular) I also know a few more ISC students from my school who have been accepted for business.
So No, I don’t think being an ISC student dims your chances.</p>

<p>Also, do you guys know any rejects from HKUST?
I am wondering where does HKUST stand in terms of prestige. I know its ranked quite well. I was actually quite surprised when I got accepted. Is it easier for international students or something?</p>

Thanks! I applied on Dec 15. (regular) and got my offer on Jan 21. Most of the engineering applicants from my school got their offers within 30 - 45 days.</p>

<p>Someone told me that HKUST is on a drive to increase international students so admissions are easier for us. Don’t know if that’s true. But anyways, best of luck!</p>

<p>@aditya496 Nope, the status remains under consideration. I just updated them on Mon and upload my results. Not sure how long still have to wait, anyways the page still say 37% of total offer has been issued. So, I guess the next round is not ready yet.</p>

<p>Hello!. Im an international applicant. I just received my offer notification for The Polytechnic University of Honk Kong. They have a required deadline as to by when I should pay my first deposit,which is before the 16th of March(next week). But my application is still under-consideration with HKUST , which is my 1st choice university.Just a question, If I provide enough evidence, will I be eligible for a early decision announcement with HKUST. Latest by the 12-14th of March, or any other date relevant, but BEFORE the 16th PLEASE.As, If I do not pay the deposit before the 16th, Polyu will withdraw my spot. Hoping for the best!!! xx</p>
