HKU or HKUST

@halmimaomao hey you have a pretty good chance of getting in! One of my fren got in with sat score of 1600ish

Has anyone got an offer from HKUST for Business and Management yet?! Or do you know some who has?

Friends of mine got an offer from engineering and IBGM…some and i applied to BM and no one has heard from UST for business and management yet. anyone?

hello IMHTFCSQ!

I am waiting for a desicion from UST B&M too. I’am from India, IB student…what about you?

Hey quite a number of ppl got offer from hkust business yestday! They will be giving out all results by next week! So scary :(

@aditya496
Hello i’m Korean studying in China;) i’m an IB-er too! i applied to BM and China stuidies

@mingmingforwin: Woah! How do you know?

My friends who applied for hkust told me! I was so disheartened coz i havent heard from them yet :(

Oh damn. I sent mine in on 16th November. That’s a long long time ago. I’m not really discouraged, but I am frustrated. I mean, they should at least update us a bit.

PS i dont know about the business school but i met the admissions officers for international applicants at my engineering students seminar. They are very nice and understanding and i think (if it is them in charge of business too) they will like to see an interest from you in their course. So dont be afraid to ask any course-related questions (dont ask when will i receive my offer or questions like that they will get irritated) because it shows an interest.

Also, not from my school but from other schools in HK, people received business offers ages ago. Although there are still some that are waiting.

PSS glad my information could be helpful :smiley: i want as many internationals to join HKUST as possible :stuck_out_tongue: Purely selfish reasons ofc… more potential friends and whatnot. Anyone who has received an offer and wants a friend in HKUST can message me personally and id be more than willing to help :P

@Darthcat:

Were you an IB applicant to the 4-year curriculum?

If so, can I ask how many credits they transferred to you? I’m looking to be able to finish the 4-year curriculum in 3 years (HKUST Business offer-holder here).

@mingmingforwin: May I ask you where are you from?I mean are you from mainland China or other countries? Because HKU seems to have limited quota for applicants from mainland in China,because they want to be more international.

@halimaomao in fact, i am not from china. I am from singapore so i count as international student as well

@darthcat hey bro i just got accepted in engineering in HKUST :slight_smile: will be more than happy if you tell me is it worth it studying from there rather than my own home country Pakistan ?

@tahajamshed did you get an interview?

@tahajamshed are you an Ib student. ?

Also can you tell me when did you apply?

@tahajamshed congrats!!! Can u please let us know ur stats? It would help the others yet to receive an offer on the forum. Thanks.

Hey Adithya, thanks for the message but I don’t have enough posts to send one back. And no I’m not an IB student I’m doing my A Levels. You can check my stats on post 4992 of this thread.
