I wasn’t inform of any interview from HKU yet :’( :’( :’( but instead got their email requesting for my secondary school internal transcript (3 years)yesterday.
I got the same email but I also got a request for an interview. What are your credentials ? (Grades, extracurriculars, etc )
NTU /HKU /HKUST .Guys u all knw that Andhra pradesh stateboard gives a combined score of 11 th and 12 th at end . so Will colleges look at combined score or just 12 th score ?
My a level forecast grades are 2A*and2A. My SG O Lvl result was like 5As2B

Hey, I think HKU gives out interviews only for a few countries…and I guess only Indians are getting their interview calls right now. Check out their website under the “Admission talks and Interview” thing…
And that in no way affects admission chances.

Hi, I also apply to hkust for main round decision. Has anyone known whether all applicants are required interview or just a few of them ? By the way, I’m from Vietnam 
Hi guys, I’m from Indonesia and I applied for both HKU and HKUST (both main round). I’ve done my LikeLive interview for HKUST Business School on Jan 4th (I got the e-mail invitation on Dec 29th) I guess I was a bit under-prepared and I’m disappointed with my answers (I was very nervous suddenly) but lets hope for the best… Yesterday (Jan 7th) I received an inv for an interview on Jan17th from HKU. I wonder what kind of question they’ll ask… (1)Is it similar to HKUST’s LikeLive or is it more technical like how’s HKU’s curriculum or why hku?
(2) I also got an email about a Science Research Fellowship Scheme on HKU (My choice of programme is Economics&Finance(BSc))

@tuantr hkust say on their faq that the people who are interviewed are all eligible, but there are a few exceptional students who dont need to be interviewed (or some who do not pass ‘phase 1’ of the admission)
But some say all eligible students are invited (in main round). Not sure really…
@victoriamanda thanks. I also apply hkust and hku in the main round for engineering but until now there hasnt been any email about interview so I’m really worried now.
@tuantr I think HKUST is still reviewing many applicants, since the interview and offer invitations are given out from Jan-June, so don’t worry!! Just hope for the best. As for HKU, I’m not sure as HKU doesn’t hold an interview in Vietnam. But I’m sure other arrangements can be made. And there’s still so many time as HKU still holds interviews internationally until March.

Hey! I just gave the HKU interview today (8th Jan) and well, as I had thought it was about a completely random and general topic. It was in group format and it was basically something that you couldn’t have prepared for…The interview was in a group of 6-7 people and the guy who was conducting the interview said in the end that it was being conducted just to test our levels of English and stuff like that.
Also, about the admission talks…I’d recommend attending them as you would get to know something about the professors teaching there.
About UST…I got a mail saying that my app is “still under consideration”. I don’t really know what that means…but I guess I’ve been deferred to the RD phase…Did anyone else get a similar mail?

HKU fast track…I think is Feb…but I’m not sure…If somebody could just confirm that.

@random42 the HKU fast track offers are given out from Jan onwards. HKU main round decisions come out from March onwards and UST main round come out from Jan-June
