Imo, what made me stand out was my personal statement, which I spent a lot of time on. I started writing it in mid September only, and kept a notepad with me so I could record and points that would suddenly pop up in my head. Took me till mid October to polish it up,even though it took me just two hours to write it.

@uniboundjamy I applied on Dec 24th. I’m doing on my country’s curriculum though I also took SAT. My SAT score is 1940, SAT math 2 is 800 and Physics 710. Well it doesn’t seem as good as you

Any main round offers? I need to reply to hku by second March. My first priority is hkust
Now that they’ve announced a late round for applicants, I’d imagine main round is going to be announced before the late round deadline (or at least close to it). According to the site the late round closes on March 31st
I called them and they said they’ll announce it by April
HKU offered 50% scholarship (HK$73,000). I am international student from India and applied for science stream. Did anyone else received the scholarship offer?
@sanj64 haven’t received any notification of results yet since my interview on February 17. I am also an international student. If I may ask when did you apply and when did you receive an offer?

I got an offer from hkust with full tuition from hkust for the first year.

That’s really cool! Congrats! It won’t hurt to call and ask them to extend your deadline so definitely ask if you feel you need an extension. Also, what program did you get into? And which round did you apply in?

@domi8888 and @maddy09 - Applied on December 30th. Got admission offer end of January and Scholarship offer on Feb 18th. Yes , it’s conditional offer subject to getting certain % of marks in final exams. Did any one received full tuition fee waiver? Paid HK$10K as last date was Feb 25th.
