Do you get e-mails that your application status changed or do we need to check our account all the time?

I just got interviewed by HKUST via likelive a week ago! Does anyone know are the chances bigger after the conducting the interview , then before the video-interview?? And also when do usually get a reply from HKUST after the video-interview???
By the way I am an international student and Ive sent my application before the 15th of January I think, I don’t remember exactly the date…

See the thing with hkust is that they conducts interviews only when they feel they want to know more about you. Whereas in HKU, you get an interview call if they like your application. So no one can say for sure if getting an interview call from hkust increases your chances. But, I think they wouldn’t want to waste time on you if they didn’t think you were worth it. Imo, celebrations are in order!
I got my offer from HKUST about two weeks after my like live interview.
@scampered - no scholarships. Their mail read that non-local students also aren’t eligible for financial aid. I did not accept my offer.
Hey guys! Do I have to wait longer if I applied through the late application scheme in HKU? And I will still be considered for scholarships, right?? I have an interview scheduled on 20th BTW… Any idea how the interview goes?

I have an urgent question. I am a Canadian student and applied to HKU around December for BBA (1st choice) Finance (2nd choice) and Acturial science (3rd). I need to hear back before May since I need to decide since than for all my other universities. I still haven’t heard back from them… :-S I called them and they would NEVER answer. The answering machine lady would just talk on and on about pressing options and this fed me up. Thus decided to email them and never got a reply 
Is there any way I can contact them to inform my situation? HKU is my top choice and I am verrry anxious as my portal seems to always say “UNDER CONSIDERATION” . I NEED AN ANSWER… YES OR NO

Also, it would actually be useless to call them regarding your status, since they will say the same thing (That your application is under consideration), but still it doesn’t hurt to try…
Btw, the sad truth about admissions in Hong Kong unis is that they do it on a rolling basis so that they can fill their quota, so you never know when you’ll receive an offer. And they send out rejections once they’ve filled the quota (which could go in till end of May).
HKUST sent me an email when I didn’t get accepted in the early round which said that final decisions would be available by May at least.
I applied to HKU under fast-track application as an undergraduate applicant for Bsc in Actuarial Science. I was interviewed on the 7th of January, 2015 however, I have not heard back from the university since. Does HKU take so long in giving the decisions for actuarial science program? And has anyone on this portal received an actuarial science offer from HKU yet?

Hi @tejan15 , read my previous posts. Hk unis give offers on rolling basis. I applied to HKUST on November 8,and still don’t have my decision. Applied to HKU on 15th Dec and got my offer sometime around 10th Feb.
