@kyubaek90 Thanks buddy! hope we all get in!!

Btw… a japanese friend of mine here, in hong kong got an interview for a degree in ‘education’ but i guess the rest start in april so just chillax! I will advise you to log into hkust’s online application website and check if your email and other credentials are right… you wont believe it… I was so freaking sick when i was doing the application I messed up my email and my passport number. I only realized months later. I hope all those things are fine :D. All the best!

Thanks all! I got accepted into the BA programme. I didn’t apply to HKUST. Submitted my application at the end of January. Conditions are that is submit an Upper Secondary Leaving Certificate with endorsed “Generell studiekompetanse”, which I will obtain around the 1. July. Think that answers all the questions!

Anyways, you got to change the name of the Facebookgroup to future HKUST & HKU!

AlecDluz: I think you should start a separate facebook group for HKU, cause that will just defeat the whole purpose of knowing people who will be going to the same University as you! lol…

HKUSTYAY: Congrats! Thats great! We are beginning to have lots of HKU future students turn up all of a sudden! thats good… just one question, i’m curious, you seem very excited about HKU, but your profile name says HKUST? why is it so?

@HKUSTYAY
congrats mann!!!
when did you submit your application to HKU?? i submited mine on jan 30th still havent heard back. im eagerly waiting…

@everybody-i got an email for HKU saying that My application is being considered favourably but they need certified true copies of my certificates before they can make me an unconditional offer…
i had send them photocopies of all my certs but it seems they want it certified…
I dont think i can go to my school and get it signed as we dont have such a provision for that as i already passed out…
what should i do??

@Sarthak19118: Hi, hmmm at the beginning, i desired to to go HKUST, simply because there was a wisdom which says that it is easier to get into HKUST. Nevertheless, i have applied to HKU as well, but never expected to get an offer decision. (Last year, one of my friends got offer from HKUST but couldnt get one from HKU). Anyway, I think that HKU and HKUST are both equally good. Can’t compare which one is better.

@oldnite1- I have summited my app on 26th Jan. Hope this would help you to glance when u gonna hear the news from HKU :)

@ EliteGeek - I have not had an interview. So, having no interview doesnt mean any bad things!

@Anand78 HKU admisson office always go through true copies… Its just their one of formalities. I think the best way to deal with the situation is, make a call to HKU admission office, and find a way with them. Hope this helps.

@Everybody: Thanks everybody. It feels so nice to see congrats messages from future HK students. haha.

@HKUSTYAY: I applied to IBGM but have had no interview yet. Your situation gives me comfort. I applied on 27th of Jan. Did you apply for scholarship?

@HKUSTYAY-thanks ,i will try and get it certified by my local council or something…

@ecthelion-i had my interview a few days back and now they emailed me saying that they want to offer me a place but i need to send them certified certificates unlike the ones i has sent earlier, dont worry man,you will hear soon…
remember they start giving out offers only from april…there is still loads of time…
people getting offers now are the ones who applied in dec-early jan…
cheers!!!
