I ordered some sewing supplies on the phone. The person who spoke with me bungled the address, wrote Cart instead of Court as part of the address. Because zip code and rest of address was correct, the package arrived anyway. He also wrote wrong billing address, but since he had correct CC# from me, I doubt if matters.

We were on vacation over thanksgiving. Got home 2 weeks from today, the next weekend we traveled to get together with our kids.
Before I left I ordered gift baskets for everyone
It wasn’t a complete mess but it wasn’t the success I was hoping for.
My mom and sibling are in Florida, they won’t get theirs until they get back after Christmas. I didn’t know they were going so early.
My mil, I sent a basket that she could bring to the nursing home to share with the staff. My fil passed away, I wonder what my mil is thinking. I know one of my kids also sent her a basket. Not much we can do about this.
I think the baskets I sent to the kids will work out. 
. The kids I got gifts on our trip so it was nice to have stuff for them. The granddaughter, she was easy, she likes everything!

My USPS box full of gifts to NYC is now 2 days late and any date of delivery has disappeared. It’s supposed to be in the state at least. Starting to get anxious!

Dispute this one with your credit card company. Your item was never delivered as it was supposed to be. Maybe they will cancel the payment or something.

My DS received his package in AZ y Friday. I haven’t heard from the other two people I mailed packages to…but they were much closer in distance.
I hope they let me know if they receive the packages. I let them know they were sent.

Haha, my daughter lives in an urban area. Deliveries make her nervous.
If I end her something, I check the tracking and text her that she has a delivery.
I only do this maybe once a year. She appreciates the heads up. Texts me when she receives
Other than her, I only will check tracking on my packages. lol

Curious what other posters typically do about package arrival notices. Most of my recipients send a quick acknowledgement or thank you. If you’ve received a delivery notice, but do not hear from the recipient, do you check? I sometimes feel like I’m fishing for a thank you, but in reality, I just want to know they received it.
Just because a company says it was delivered, obviously is not always the case.

I always check when I have things mailed. Generally the recipients are happy to let me know item was received.

I mailed four packages priority mail on Tuesday. The lightest and smallest was going to Maine. It has not been received yet. The two larger ones were going to a Michigan…and I haven’t heard about those yet. A middle size box went to Phoenix and arrived early Friday.
Go figure.
The other year, I had an ebay sender send gifts I purchased from her to my recipients. I asked them to let me know when they got their orders. Everyone got their orders except one package in SF. The seller submitted an insurance claim with USPS and re-sent another item, no problem.
One year, S said he hadn’t gotten Harry & David box of pears I had sent, so I called and reported it to Harry & David. They promptly refunded because they said it was too late to send another box. A few days later, S sheepishly said he found out their mail room at their condo had a refrigerator that held perishable items, which included his pears! I called H&D and explained the situation and said it was too late, they already recreditted me and couldn’t charge me again. Whoops!
Everyone else appears to have gotten the gift boxes from Rice Factory that I had sent from them. I like when a 3rd party takes care of shipping and I don’t have to do it! Rising prices of shipping make especially nice for them to absorb the extra cost & hassle.
FYI for anyone who still needs a last minute gift delivered. I ordered gift baskets from both Costco (a dried fruit and nut tray) and Wolfermanns (to die for English muffins) this afternoon and both will be delivered by the 23rd for no extra shipping fee.

I seriously have like 5 things floating out there. One appears to be sitting in Cincinnati since the 11th. One was in my town and then sent to Detroit and now who knows?
Never had these issues before .

My husband is getting a mystery package sent by FedEx from a Silicon Valley town. We suspect it is a corporate BS gift. Tracking sez it departed California for Arkansas then for Memphis and then flew to SeaTac. Definitely the shortest route between the origin and the destination!

Priority mail has tracking. If you have a receipt, you can see where your packages are.
Saying that, I’m in Michigan, I have a couple of outstanding packages that are bouncing all over the place. Pretty unusual, most of my stuff was delayed this year

My daughter calls me.
D: “Did you send something from the U of Wyoming bookstore?”
Me: Yes, there should be 2 gifts in there. You’ll know whose is whose. (I never pay for wrapping). Don’t open it, it’s for Christmas.
5 seconds later…
D: “I opened it. I couldn’t wait. I’ll hide Husband’s.”
5 minutes later
D: “Dan loves his too.”
So much for waiting or hiding husband’s.

A friend picked up that fruit and nut tray from Costco, says it’s very nice!
I had an order from Amazon that says it was delivered two days ago, but it wasn’t. I get a lot from Amazon and they always take a photo, no photo of this order (plus I was home when it was supposed to be delivered). I can dispute it tomorrow.
I spent over $100 to ship some cookies to my son in England (study abroad). Looked at find my iPhone today and apparently he’s in Florence. He’s not the best communicator.

Circling back to give my review of D’s advent box this year: Exit: The Game - Advent Calendar - The Silent Storm Game Puzzle a Day Escape Room
She said it was incredibly well done, super fun, creative, and that she would highly highly recommend to anyone who likes puzzles/brain teasers/escape room games. She said the daily puzzles (which build on themselves) ranged from taking 5 minutes to up to 20 minutes to figure out. There is a hint booklet if you get stuck. She said this was one of her favorite Advent gifts of all times and it was the perfect thing to do after work.
In years past we’ve done advent calendars from L’Occitaine, William Sonoma (the baking/decorating one), Penzey’s (I made that one up myself), and Vinebox so this was pretty high praise from D and it was lots cheaper than some of the previous years!
