@taranyny My son was waitlisted by HC (strange we thought) and accepted to Trinity and Conn with tons of money (merit, etc). From what I’ve read on other sites Conn is a bit isolated and not much to do in New London. Beach sounds good in warm months though. My son is leaning toward accepting Trinity’s offer while staying on waitlists. They gave him at 5-7K more $$$ than his other acceptances and it does seem while the area right around Trinity can be a bit sketchy there’s a lot to do in Hartford in general and a lot on Trinity Campus. Trinity is solid in History. Not sure about Conn and HC. Probably fine. DS is a theatre/poly sci major (probably) and I just happened to notice Trinity ranked well in History on Niche. My son is not overly preppy, but fits in with everyone overall, plus Trinity is trying to change their preppy image and demographics (already have to an extent). It would would have made a hard choice even harder had he been accepted to HC.
