Homework Playlist

If you were able to create any playlist for doing homework or studying without worrying about money (or battery life, LOL), what would it be?

Mine:
The Planets, Holst
Daemon, She The Killer
Losing My Religion, REM
Closer, She The Killer
It’s The End Of The World As We Know It, REM
Red Like Roses Part 2, Jeff Williams
Can’t Hold Us, Macklemore
Same Love, Macklemore
Same Love, Mary Lambert
The Shell Adagio, Nimrod Borenstein
etc., etc…

(Not to hijack a high school thread, but I can never pass up the chance to recommend my current favorite homework music…)

The soundtracks from Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture and Dear Esther. Composed by the same person (Jessica Curry), beautiful and haunting music, choral and instrumental.

All of Watch The Throne by Kanye West & Jay-Z. Though jamming out that makes it kind of tough to focus on homework :stuck_out_tongue:

The entire Lord of the Rings soundtrack.

Childish Gambino’s album Culdesac, pretty much anything by the Lumineers, Vampire Weekend, and/or Foster the People.

The theory of everything soundtrack

Kpop, Ratatat, Childish Gambino, Animal Collective, Daft Punk, MGMT, Gorillaz, Nujabes, video game OSTs (Undertale, Animal Crossing, Splatoon…)

any Nujabes albums
Pride and Prejudice OST
Hunter x Hunter (2011) OST
any sappy instrumentals
Sympathy for Lady Vengeance OST
Innocent Man OST
Haikyuu OST
any Studio Ghibli

Kpop is a good pick-me-up for mundane homework. Also if you love some funky electronic jams, try the Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk, and Justice. They make up a majority of my homework playlist. Caravan Palace is a good electro-swing group. Sometimes when I’m doing work, I also pull out a rock playlist, classic rock or post-hardcore kinda music. Falling in Reverse, Escape the Fate, Babymetal, etc…

The theory of everything soundtrack!!
Odesza (in return)
The Naked and Famous (especially Girls Like You and that entire album)
The opera Sadko by Rimsky-Korsakov
the album From Under the Cork Tree (Fall Out Boy)

Sort of clashing genres but I really enjoy Logic and The Avett Brothers

@reidd799 Lol I was just about to put Logic… good to know other people bump him! B)

@Anish14 Not a huge fan of the new album, but I Am The Greatest gets me hype

My list would probably be something like:

Voyager by Daft Punk
Hotline by Sylvers
Groovejet by Spiller
Murder on the Dancefloor by Sophie Ellis Bexter
Southern Nights by Glen Campbell
Gold by John Stewart
California Soul by Marlene Shaw (Thank you blessed GTA V)
Animal Crossing New Leaf 8 AM song

I listen to a lot of kpop when I do stuff like math and science, but I listen to classical and non-vocal music and OSTs when I do English or more reading-based subjects.

tbh I’ll listen to pretty much anything

Honestly, my homework playlist is literally all classical music as that’s the only kind that can get me to focus. Pop, EDC and hip hop just gets me into the more active mood as I only listen to music if I’m working out or studying.
My current homework playlist is:

Molto Allegro- Mozart
Canon in D major- Pachelbel
Moonlight Sonata- Mozart
Swan Lake - Tschaikovsky

Or I just listen to random piano music or piano versions of songs (such as the Game of Thrones theme song piano vers.)

^ I agree. I don’t get how people can do anything with pop music in their heads.

My personal favorites are Grieg, Kabalevsky, Saint-Saens, and Dvorak.

But…the Planets…

Birdman Drum Score — lit

Anime OSTs (Magi, Naruto (though I don’t like the anime), Prince of Tennis, etc.)
Drake
Future
Kpop
Lil Wayne
