How do you deal with acne/pimples?

I hate pimples! They are so annoying and its really hard to keep them from coming back.

Acne cream?

I wash my face every day, and apply rubbing alcohol everyday. Never had a pimple. It works, I thinks that’s the secret to proactive.

I pull a Chuck Norris and dare the acne to emerge.

Actually, I wash my face in the shower [the steam opens up the pores] and afterwards apply [this stuff](http://www.clinique.com/product/CATEGORY15068/PROD11811/Skin_Care/Acne/Clear_Skin_System/index.tmpl). I don’t really moisturize, since my face tends to get oily. Occasionally, I use pore strips or a mask.

^^You really shouldn’t put rubbing alcohol on your face, it strips essential oils and robs you of a natural healthy glow. It will dry you out and cause more oil (if you have oily skin.)

It’s much easier to prevent acne than to get rid of it. Eat a healthy diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables and drink a lot lot lot of water and green tea. In the morning drink warm water with lemon juice. Your overall inside health shows in your skin.

I have flawless skin (yeah I’m bragging!) because I take care of myself.

^it may probably just work for me. I always use a moisturizer after. Cocoa butter works miracles.

I would not recommend buying over the counter acne medicine, however, prescribed medicine from a doctor actually does prevent acne.

Washing your face regularly with water is a good method of prevention in general.
Helps stop oil buildup and other things that cause many types of acne.

Your bog standard Oxy pads if applied regularly work very well.

I use Oxy Maximum face wash and spot treatment…make sure to buy a good moisturizer as well (I like Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel).

Acne cream and birth control. Mine’s not too bad though.

I didn’t develop acne until about the 10th grade. Finally went to the doctor, and it’s mild.

But she has me applying epiduo before I go to bed, taking antibiotics once a day, and using my otc acne cleanser.

It’s getting better, but still not clear like I used to be.

I think it’s more about genetics. My mom had perfect skin and my dad had terrible skin so I have a mixture.

my brother went to a dermatologist and his got much better

I take accutane and its kind of like jesus for your skin (except your lips get super chapped so I’m constantly applying lip balm)

Eat better (less oil/fat in your diet) and, make sure to use a cream but, mainly eat better.

I’ve only had maybe 1 or 2 pimples in the last year because i started eating alot better.

I really like St. Ives Blemish & Blackhead Control Apricot Scrub because it has A FREAKING LOT of exfoliant [and salicylic acid].

^ I also used to used that. It’s probably the best drugstore scrub there is. I used to use it in the mornings and later on at school I’d smell the apricot on my face… mmm

I don’t get them. :)

^^YES i love the smell!

I also used Neutrogena’s “relaxing nightly scrub” in the purple bottle, but there weren’t enough beads in it. That’s the case with most facial scrubs.

I used to worry that the St. Ives apricot one would clog our drain because it’s so thick lol.
