Wake Forest allows you to apply as soon as your junior year is over and you get your grades. They let you know within a few weeks and you have 2 weeks to make your decision. So you could have applied and had an answer during summer. If you did not get in you could have applied to Tulane SCEA.

13all94: I wish you the best of luck with your acceptances. The biggest problem that I have heard about in rejecting an ED, besides the moral implications, is that the College can take it out on future applicants from the student’s HS. Crazy but it has been true in our HS.

I made a mistake writing what I did, if wake accepts me I will go there. If wake defers me and Tulane accepts me( which would be amazing) I’d spend my next four years in NOLA I find out before the 15th for both

This forum is designed to be an anonymous place where people can hold discussions about specific college related issues. It is not any of our rights to judge this guy. What’s the point of even persecuting him on this forum? @13all94: we don’t know what your exact set of circumstances are. I wish the best of luck to you.

F4ngz77, is that what is says for you? Mine says, “Your application is complete. The Committee on Admission is working to render your decision as quickly as possible. If you have questions regarding your status, please call the Undergraduate Admission Office at 800-873-WAVE (9283).” ahah…

@Flyboy2tf: you are the most kind person on this whole forum… If its anonymous, don’t persecute me… I shouldn’t have included personal info, but I made a mistake, I shouldnt have it in public, and we all ask the admin, we can get the stuff removed. And one last time, my parents thought Tulane was a long shot so I couldn’t apply SCEA, I applied EA and showed alot of interest… If it get into wake and don’t like it, I can transfer to Tulane soph year, no big deal… I just had a pep talk with my family… I was freaking out this whole time and my nervousness is evident…

I APOLOGIZE… and thank you to all of my fans.

EliKresses: mine says that too- don’t worry and good luck to everyone

EITHER SCHOOL WOULD BE PHENOMENAL… sorry for posting this on this forum…

13all94- don’t stress too much. What is meant to be will be. The anxiety we feel as adults is bad enough, I can only imagine how difficult it is to manage the stress, pressure, anxiety etc at only 17 or 18 years…

Congrats to all those accepted! We are in the still waiting group. It is extremely nerve wracking as my daughter is a pretty strong applicant (2300 SAT; 3.8 unweighted), but her classmates have already heard. We are trying to stay optimistic, but now we fear our decision to put off our visit until January may have been a mistake. Best of luck to everyone… It will be Dec 15th soon enough.

Good luck to you Wordy. We are in the same boat and it is a real nail biter…!!

Is it just Word, pasadenamom and myself left?

I feel lik I’m on survivor.

Very funny, Cheer!! But oh no…I don’t want to get voted off the island…!! :-)

Wordy64 - a visit to the campus is helpful but not required to show interest. Did she attend a local event, if one was available? Did she do the optional Why Tulane statement? Has she corresponded with her admissions person at Tulane? There are several ways to tell Tulane you are really interested other than campus visits.

I’m not one to ask for presents for Christmas really.

But I have shopping cart full of desired Tulane items for the holidays! Bumper sicker for my car, sweatshirt, tote bag, lanyard for my keys, a nice little ball cap, etc…

So I’m hoping for a decision soon so I can order those things!

(or not…)

When did everyone submit apps? I am back to talking about this forum topic and that we are playing this waiting game together… I WISH EVERYONE THE BEST LUCK… I hate that 3 of my class mates have already gotten in 8-9 days… I am the only one left to hear back and everyone at school knows that its on the top of my list… I JUST WANNA GET IN!!! and if I do get deferred, I will know its not me who is evaluating my application… but I know this EA for Tulane is extremely selective…

I applied on August 18th. My SAT is on the lower side and I am painfully aware of that. Tulane is a long shot for me. But a girl can dream right?

Yes, and the dreams may come true, what are your back-ups, if Tulane is your first choice???

Well I already got into Loyola NOLA and that was my primary back up. And I really like it there too. I’ve also applied to SMU, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, Clemson, U of Miami, and Rhodes College. So I have a solid list of schools. Some I feel more confident about than others. But we will just have to wait and see how it all pans out.

Mine are elon, cofc, university of denver, smu, etc…
