I feel like eating . . .

Bacon has the highest ratio of satiation to calories that I’ve run into. For even more flavor, go with Trader Joes uncured peppered turkey bacon.

I can’t decide between ben and jerrys cholcolate covered cherry ice cream, a smoothie, or a few sees candies…

I can have one of the 3… Or none…

I don’t think that I’ve had any ice cream for at least six months. Might actually be last summer. My wife mentioned that to me when we passed by an ice cream stand that had just opened for business for this year. Lots of customers outside too.

If you aren’t eating ice cream, no reason to start. One brand I have just had to quit eating because I can’t seem to eat it in moderation.

DH and I stop at Carvel maybe four or five times a summer. I get a “junior” size soft-serve vanilla in a cup with a bonnet of that chocolate that hardens on top. It’s a nice treat that I don’t have too often.

And it really hits the spot!

Absolutely nothing, as I’m completely stuffed after making lots of mini pies earlier (I made them in my cupcake tray; people were rather impressed)

I’m reviving this one because it’s right before lunch and I’m STARVING.

I want BBQ from this little family owned joint in the town I did my undergrad (right across the street from campus…It’s a wonder I didn’t gain the freshman 15) and some ice cream from a window place where I spent my summers on Cape Ann in Massachusetts.

I grew up in MA and now live in Arkansas. MA sucks at BBQ. AR sucks at ice cream. Combine the two and it’s the best of both worlds!

I couldn’t sleep last night and ended up watching Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives at 3AM. He high-lighted the Nickel Diner in downtown LA. One of their specialties is bacon covered maple glazed donuts. Maybe because it was 3AM and I was not thinking coherently, but the vision has stuck in my brain and I’m ready to jump in my car after work and drive down there. It is very close to my D’s new job, so I have an excuse to visit???

I’m always hungry. I’d meet you at the donut shop but it’s about 2.5 hours to LA for me.

One of our favorite neighborhood restaurants had to close a couple years ago, victim of soaring rents.:frowning: They recently reopened in a smaller space, even closer to us, so H & I went out last weekend.
The recipes are even more authentic now, and I ordered Yum Ma Muang that H absolutely loved.( which was a shock because generally he only tolerated Thai food)
I found a couple recipes off the internet and it looks fairly easy, I just don’t know if my grater is up to the task.

2-1/2 hours is nothing when there is a bacon covered maple glazed donut at the end, PhotoOp! I’m about an hour away but I will probably wait til I’m going to be down there anyway.

I may have driven that far for a Krispy Kreme :)

Anything from The Founding Farmers in Washington, DC.

Or, GOOD Mexican food. Indiana and Virginia can’t hold a candle to real Southern California Mexican.

OR OR a Double-Double, Animal Style Fries and a Neapolitan Shake from In-N-Out. Goodness do I miss California food.

Tomorrow is national donut day!

Free donuts abound.

That is a good followup to
[National Running Day](http://www.runningday.org/)

I recently heard about this–
[Maple and Chocolate-Bacon Crunch Ice Cream (Paleo)](http://www.southbeachprimal.com/maple-and-chocolate-bacon-crunch-ice-cream-paleo/)
I want some. :)

How many National Running Days does it take to undo the effects of one National Donut Day? ;)

Oh, Chocolate covered almonds sounds so so good right now. It is a good thing I don’t have any because I could sit and eat a pound easily.

Even after the 10 miles I ran today, a pound of chocolate covered almonds could real damage.

DH got a package of cocoa roasted almonds in his swag bag after a race last weekend. The were a little lighter than chocolate covered, really good.

^^love those cocoa roasted almonds.
Right now I could eat giant hunk of the super sweet watermelon I bought last night.

I feel like eating sushi every day all day, I absolutely love it!! And then cannolis for desert, and I’m not really a fan of desert, just the cannolis.
