I have no idea what it’s even about, and we’re on episode 38.

Does anyone actually understand the story?

And does anyone actually LIKE it?

And does anyone actually LIKE it?

Yes! How do you hate it? Who doesn’t love romantic Spanish dramas made in the early '90s?:>(just kidding lol) Seriously though, they are actually not bad. What level of Spanish are you in?

Yes, I understand Destinos. Minimally.

That one old guy is dying and he got a letter from someone about secrets from his past. So he hired Raquel to go find Rosario and figure out a bunch of crap, so she went out and then found out Rosario was dead. Then she falls in love with Arturo and starts looking for some guy Angel, but finds out he’s dead too and then meets his sister, Angela, in a cemetery. Then they go somewhere and it was around that point that I stopped caring and lost what was going on.

We’re on episode 46… only 6 more to go. Thank god.

^Lol, my old class compared the dying man to the man on the KFC bucket. We also made fun of the way he shouts out that dead woman’s name. It’s actually kind of interesting though, but like most dramas, the episodes tend to be lengthy. I’ve been watching them for three years haha

Did you guys finish the series? Rumor has it that Raquel dies and then it’s revealed that Rosario is still alive.

No! I’m in Spanish 4 and we have yet to finish it. O no! She dies? I probably am not supposed to know that until Spanish 5 haha

I don’t know if she dies or not. I think Don Fernando dies at the very end. Angel and rosario died earlier…

…seriously if Raquel died, it’d be hilarious.

Haha, I suppose they have to find some way to end the series. I was wondering if it would ever end. How many years does it even cover? It must have taken them a while to film everything.

OH MAN my friends were complaining about this during lunch today. We’re in Illinois.

/igotachuckleoutofthis

Destinos does not end after Episode 52. The wrath continues for life and you will be constantly haunted by Raquel until the day you die.

^O no! lol
I don’t know why everyone thinks it’s so bad. It’s actually intriguing.

Be glad you didn’t have to endure La Catrina.

I don’t know what Destinos is.

At first I assumed it was some Pizza Joint.

I like it, but I can see how it would be frustrating if you were just beginning to learn Spanish. My level of Spanish was already decent when I started watching it, so it’s helped me pick up more vocabulary and improve my listening comprehension. Also, it’s kind of dated and at times it’s annoyingly melodramatic… but it’s still pretty great.

meadow- La Catrina is the BOMB. We watched two years of that. It was literally the only part of AP Spanish that I paid attention to lol.

lol reallyy? We had to watch that in Spanish freshman year and it was the cause of my misery. It was such utter crap. But it is definitely original, and somewhat epic. haha

Yeah. Of course its not really that great, but it’s fun to make fun of. We never finished either season though :(

True true.

So many great situations:

“ME LLAMO JAIME”
“Es la Catrina…MI BISBUELA!”
EL Baile de Queso

And then Jaime in her hawt braces and 80’s clothes.

Lol yep.

And don’t forget Rogelio! Was he in your version? He was my fave.

Also, gotta love the intro music.

hmm Rogelio? Was he that library dude? AHAHAHHA he was hilarious. His bowtie was rather endearing. :)

And there was that horrible horrible “embarazada” mistake that made feel go like facepalm…
