What a difference a couple of days makes! Such uplifting posts…Veryhappy (you have very appropriate screen name)…great update from Donna, too. WoW, quite amazing.

So glad to hear that your condition is improving without surgery, and that you are now “untethered” and can actually move around freely and taste some easily-digested foods.

Even your writing seems stronger, as though you are a bit more comfortable.

Continue to rest and heal, and don’t let the hospital force you out before you are truly ready … of course, as an attorney you probably already know this, but I thought it wouldn’t hurt to remind you …

Please continue to post updates when you are able, and know that there is a lot of love and support for you here. From your earliest posts to the most recent, it’s easy to see that you are incredibly resilient, brave and a remarkable person.

I’ll bet you’re also a very skilled and successful attorney, as well.

All the best for a quick and complete recovery!

Donna,
I am traveling to down under. I am so happy you don’t need another surgery. Hope you get to see your cat soon. This weekend, right? I don’t pray, but I have been sending you good thoughts. I look forward to your post when I land, in 14 hours.

Donna asked me to post to let everyone know she’s OK. She is doing fine but is pretty exhausted. She kept the liquid food down yesterday, so today they’re going to start her on some solids – I’m assuming baby food, rather than a T-bone, for starters. Maybe a corned beef sandwich on rye by the weekend?!

Donna, as soon as you’re able to have that, let us know and we’ll all enjoy one with you!

We will be toasting to your first solid meal in weeks, to your keeping it down, and to your beefing back up to your normal fighting weight.

Donna, I’m so glad to hear that things are looking up for you. What an ordeal it must have been.

Be sure to rest as much as you need to, especially after going home. I get the feeling you’re used to being active. Remember that your body is on its own schedule of recuperation—it will take as long as it takes!

Have we actually heard from Donna today (Tuesday)? It’s possible that I missed something as I’m in a rush and didn’t read through all of the latest posts … hope all continues to go well and that Donna is progressing with her recovery …

Thanks VH - I honestly didn’t see that. Glad to know Donna continues to progress with her recovery. Continuing to send positive thoughts her way!

Donna is planning to post sometime today. She reports having eaten a real meal for dinner last night, and says there has been some discussion about being discharged in the next day or so. Now, that’s progress!!
