Pixie, do not ditch Harvard for Woody Woo. P’s just doing this to boost their disastrous yield numbers (lowest in HYPS, by far).

Maxxwell, Qatar’s the good part of the Indian Subcontinent.

Just got rejected by UMichigan Ann Harbor’s Engineering school. WHAT AM I GOING TO DO??Does anyone know a high cliff/ tall building in the neighborhood? (■■■■■ FACE)

Pixie - go to Harvard.

Maxxwell, ooh, did you know that’s one of my favorite poems??
We had it in 9th standard in school.

This was just a weak moment, but when 10 minutes later, I found that it wasn’t enough to make me change my decision, I was sure that I had made the right choice. I chose harvard before that announcement was made, and I’m ecstatic with my choice.
Harvard just is a better fit. Two fundamental things about Princeton I disliked too much to be ignored: Eating club culture and Grade Deflation policy. I didn’t want eating clubs to be such a dominant part of social life at college. While I realize that eating clubs aren’t as exclusive as they were before, I am certain that they must lead to segregation within the student body. Grade deflation isn’t good for grad school chances anyway (had they changed the grade deflation policy, I would have found it harder). I also like Harvard’s housing system better. It took me a long time to get over my prejudice against Harvard (because everyone just seemed to assume that I’m going to choose it, and the prestige factor was the last reason I wanted to take harvard), but I’m glad I was finally able to look at things fairly. I made a list of the pros and cons to be 100% sure, and really the Harvard pros list was twice longer than princeton’s. That made it clear. ![]()
Woody Woo’s counterpart in Harvard is an interdisciplinary, selective major called Social Studies. I really liked this speech too: <a href=“Office of the President | Office of the President”>Office of the President | Office of the President;

Are you planning to be president of Penn someday?

You’re right Maxxwell, now that I go back and check. Congrats on your decision Pixie! I am still thinking of HKU in my weak moments. Don’t want to leave home and all that. @mynameisev, I’m the same boat. There are plenty of tall buildings where I come from.
Dw, have fun at Penn! :D

puttu, did u take HL history?

Nope! Taking HL physics and it’s KILLING me!! HL physics and english.

Advice taken. bye starts on an indefinite hike :)

lmao. Nishad, trust me, tallness does not disqualify one from being little. ;)

^Really? You don’t know what you are talking about.

Agree with Karan, making a list would be really useful. Perhaps we could do it on another thread.

@Pixie- I’m confused? Was that an attempt to belittle IB students (and me) or what? I am unable to comprehend what’s going on…
