Desperado28–Honestly, screw them. You got in to CORNELL for Christ’s sake. You were obviously too good for them. Don’t worry, and enjoy what you have so far! How many other decisions are you waiting for?
Got waitlisted at Colgate. I don’t particularly care since I stopped liking the school after I applied. And I’m a bit high after finishing ALL my IB peripheral requirements. All I have to do is study for the next 4 weeks.
Tiyas, good luck for Colgate! I think the news will be positive!

@desperado and Collegebeckon - I’m assuming you got a mail from Cornell asking you to log in and check your decisions online? Could you please tell me the exact time you got it( IST preferably)?

I dunno, they said aid stuff is included in the package, and not in the portal with the decision.
I haven’t applied to Macalaster. Too cold for me. Nor have I applied to Cornell. Ditto, bad weather, not-very-good-deptts, too big…Why is everyone thinking I’ve applied to schools I haven’t applied to?

@Putturani- What’s the news? Anyone else here?
I don’t know what to say. But asking for $50k of aid per year definitely affected my chances adversely. Why, Middlebury?

"Dear Nishad,

During the past months the Middlebury Admissions Committee has carefully reviewed more than 8500 applications to the College. Although at this time we are unable to offer you admission, we would like to offer you a place on our waiting list.

Your qualifications for success in college are very strong, and you clearly have the ability to thrive at Middlebury. However, the large number of applications that we have reviewed this year has made our decision-making process the most competitive it has ever been. We are therefore unable to offer admission to many highly qualified applicants."
