<p>Monday, April 11, 2005 early morning at 3:00 am as if god has heard my prayer or is done playing His usual tricks on me I got a strange email from Princeton the email although not an acceptance email kind of implied that I have been accepted since it invited me to an online chat for admitted students after the initial shock and reading that email 10-15 times to ensure that it is not one of my friend playing a prank on me I realized that it could be a mistake after all if I was admitted I would have received the package by now, right???!!!</p>
<p>In sheer excitement at 3:30 am I ran 2-3 kms to a temple never been inside a religious place in years - but wanted to thank god for the moment of joy even if the email was a mistake after all now I know what great acceptances feel like </p>
<p>As I got back I knew that it was still Sunday in the US and it is going to be a long freaking day to call the admission office .i waited and waited I also did not want to share my news with ne1 because it had equal probability of being a mistake as it had for being the truth .at 5:30 am I decided to log on to the chat for admitted students that I was invited to under the screen name ohmygod expectedly some1 on the chat asked me about my screen name and I told them how the email before 4 hours ago was the first I heard of my acceptance luckily an admission officer on the chat pulled me to a 1 on 1 chat I have posted the transcript of that chat in the next message </p>
<p>To make the long story short she confirmed that I was REALLY admitted soon after I called DHL to figure out what tht ■■■ was going on and they gave me a tracking # of the package that was held at the office because of insufficient address I called them again to confirm that it REALLY had my name on it I also checked it online to double check at this time it was 6:30 am .and the DHL office dont open until 9:00 am .i didnt want to share this news with ne1 until I see the package for real coz we have already been disappointed once and cant go through it again </p>
<p>9:00 am called DHL they told me that they are sending some1 with the package 1:00 pm .no package getting worried I go to their office the package was on its way .go around and around finally at 3:30 pm .12 hours after realizing that I have been admitted finally got the package and there I knew that this is no dream this is for real .! :)</p>
<p>I remember how I felt when other people were getting acceptances and I did not I genuinely wanted to feel happy about them but felt like sh it sucharita can attest to this but when I PMd her wishing her good luck for Princeton, I made it very clear that I would rather have you all get accepted, even if it costs me my acceptance (because I had no shot anyways :p) I sincerely have prayed and hoped that all of us have similar happy ending as I am having to this long journey but pray is all I can do </p>
<p>After the initial hysteria running up and down calling my parents/brother/friends as I took a deep breathe in fatigue (for not having slept in over 40 hours and no eaten in about 18 hours) I realized that this one belongs to CC I could have never ever got into Princeton if it was not for the encouragement and support from CC .</p>
<p>Thank you all I love you all <strong>hugs every1</strong> .could not have asked for a better dramatic ending to this ordeal Thank you god!!!</p>
<p>And if some of u are wondering why I never called because as I had said before I would never call itd be an awful way to find out my decision and I am glad that I didnt…i love the way it turned out…:)</p>
