<p>Of course, thats someone elses headach so i never really though much about it, but i think its more of an indian sort of thing in its twisted form of the modern day</p>

if all you want to do is study, sure you can become a scientist, lawyer, docto wtvr. and a really good one at that.

<p>Noone claims the indian education system to be the best in the world. Atleast on this thread. I - and most people i know- agree with that.</p>

i know tons of people who got 93’s, 94’s on their boards but who have absolutely no life skills. and they think they are SO smart. (if you work hard enough, any idiot can get the marks in our wonderful education system). i’m looking forward to see how these “brains” and “genius’s” cope with life in america- where they WILL be confronted with alcohol, sex, bully’s, a new life- all this without mommy and daddy cooking food for you so that you don;t waste time that can be better put to use studying.

<p>There are (atleast) two categories of people who are included in the 93-94+% bracket. One is the people who do what you refer to. These people arent going to go to the US. Another is the people like (maybe - dont know about your board exam percentage) you. These people will have no problem at all in the US. They generally get their marks from sheer brilliance and not necessarily hard work - maybe like sucharita (no offence meant). And not all of these want to go to the US anyway.</p>
